Really liked the message. I feel like CoHo’s books are learning more toward YA the more I read. I’m trying to read all her books, and honestly they’re all as page turning as the last.

I feel like this was lacking though. I loved her at first for her mind blowing romances and her earth shattering love stories, but this is a coming of age story. I wanted so much to love Sagan and Merit but in the end I loved them both...separately. Not that they should be together but they never really “fall in love” and NEEEEED each other like Colleen’s other books. I don’t know. Not a fave.

But I will continue on and read all her past novels. And probably all her future ones too. Her writing is so addicting nonetheless.

Although I felt like I kept reading, holding onto the hope that Sagan and Merit would madly fall in love and I was just left with disappointment, hence the three stars.

Some was good, some was cheesy. The handling of sexuality was super cringey and left much to be desired. Aside from that I actually really liked Merit though. This was a page turner for sure. I'll have to check out more Colleen Hoover.

I loved this book! It took me only a day to read because it was fast paced and so all-consuming! You feel so tangled up in these complex characters. I liked that every character was 4-D. I liked the message the book delivered; family is important and secrets cannot be kept because it will destroy your relationship with your family. Also the spotlight on depression and the seriousness of it was refreshing. It wasn't glamorized which was a relief. I felt like Merit was real. This book made me laugh and i loved that it could even with its serious and tough issues it dealt with. LOVE<3

I was a book away from meeting my yearly goal, and decided that I might as well read this one since it’s been on my TBR for forever. I absolutely loved this book. I think it was beautifully written and it really showed a different side to COHO. The delicacy, or lack there of, that she used when talking about the hard subjects that some teenagers face made it relatable and lovable. Every person with an insecurity should read this book. One of my favorites from the year in total!
