thanks, netgalley, for letting me read this early! i do enjoy a good revenge story (see: my gleeful face during inglourious basterds) and this was a fun version to read, but with quite a bit of "be careful what you wish for" thrown in. the ending was so abrupt that i thought maybe i hadn't downloaded the whole galley, but (of course) it's paving the way for another installment. which i will be reading.

Wonderful, wonderful! A little melodramatic at times but it wasn't too jarring. And I'm not sure how I feel about the magical element that was creeping in close to the end. Guess we'll see how I feel after I read the next two books.

This book is just so-so for me. Quick read and quite enjoyable at times. But the way they had their revenge is too extreme imo. Maybe things will get more interesting after this. 2.5/5 stars.

I loved this book. The book was really great, had all the elements to make it a book I love.

I can't wait for book 2 to come out, not that long now!

3,5 stars,

The beginning was very confusing with all the different characters with different friends and different reasons for revenge. However when you finally understand who is who etc. it's easy to read and the story is great. But the cliffhanger at the end, omg, it really killed me.

lol what even happened
like am i supposed to believe this is a paranormal-ish story now? i entered into this hoping for some light-hearted #gurlpower revenge action and then it got...kinda...weird...

but okay, here's the deal. surprisingly dynamic characters with more than some flat-faced stereotyping (although i felt least sympathetic to mary, despite her story being ostensibly the most reader-engaging). interesting premise. i reaaaaally wanted to love it.

at the end of the day, though, i was left feeling kind of empty. like, what's up with these guy characters? do i love them or hate them? are there any other likable girls outside of our 3 female MCs? what the heck is mary???

that being said. i still want to read #2. because i just HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH LILLIA AND LINDY

It's a good book with revenge and backstabbing. I loved it! Recommended to People who like Siobhan Vivian's books, such as the A-List.

This book sent me for a loop at the end of it. I really enjoyed how this book was set up, going between the three girls POV's and then how we got to look into each girls past and what drove them to be where they were. Each of them seemed to have a really good reason for doing what they did, even if it just took some time for each of those reasons to come out.

One thing that irked me was that we explored a lot of the actions and consequences, but I felt unfulfilled for Lillia. We learn that she had this horrible thing happen to her, and then it seems like it never happened toward the end. I did, well, I can't say enjoy, but I liked when she did show emotion about how what happened affected her.

I liked that the three of them were so different and had different motivations and reasonings behind their actions, although I would have to say that everyones reasoning was on shaky ground. The only person that I felt was just in her actions was Mary who was tormented by a particular boy in the book. While what happened to Lillia was really awful, it didn't really have anything to do with the rest of the plot of the book. As for Kat, well, I felt she really had nothing to do with revenge either, because yeah, rumors suck, but using your senior year for payback?

This book was a really fast read for me. I loved that I breezed through this book, I mean, I almost missed my train stop, twice, because I was so absorbed in the book. I wanted to know how they were going to get their revenge and what it was that lead them there. In case you weren't aware, this book is a series, and I knew that going into it, but I was only faintly aware until it left me with THAT kind of ending. The kind were you go: "I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE YEAR!?" Yep. That kinda book.
