I seriously only read it because the movie was coming out. (As it is the movie sucked a million times more) But that's what i do i compare movies to books.
It started off far too slow for me and at the end it seriously just became another twilight, (don't get me wrong i read the whole series) the main characters drive me crazy at time i just wanted to jump in and slap them across the face, but we all know that can't happen.... (can it?). I mean Lena, was a real pain at times, she was so hard trying to fit in but she kept herself outside still making herself an outcast. how does that work? and Ethan always so optimistic. always wanting to get away and never doing anything about it. For being a book about paranormal being and supernatural connections i think it could have been thought out a little better.

I just love to read the books may not always be good but the opportunity to be put into someone else's view makes the experience pleasurable.

It was good but I didn't like the ending and won't be reading the next.

I really liked the plot, it's quite original and the ending is not what everyone expects, which is even more appreciated. Also, you can never go wrong in a book about witches.

I didn't read the e-book in time and it went away...not sure if I'll attempt to read it again.

The movie and the book are completely different and both are great in their own ways!

Beautiful Creatures was my first post-Twilight read. I was suffering from book withdrawal and was looking for another great love story. This book delivered. I loved everything about this book, from seeing the love story through the point of view of a boy, to the unique spin on witch culture, to the setting of a small Southern town where nothing happens (Much like my own). This book took me into another world, following a girl that could not decide who she wanted to be, which I think everyone faces at some point in their life. It's a beautiful love story, and a great read, but be prepared to buy the other four books.

This book was amazing. Even though I found the setting to be eerie, I loved this book. The book is put in Ethan's point of view. Its an interesting book. It contains Romance, fantasy and a small bit of horror (Not scary at all to me but we all have our opinions)

Way better than the movie! so much more depth. Saw the movie first but I'm glad because if i had read the book before the movie then the movie would have made me so upset because it didn't even come close to living up to the book.
