Leon is just… 😈😈😈. Her Soul to Take gives us the story of Raelynn and Leon. After hundreds of years in service of a witch cult, things finally change for Leon when the ever so curious Raelynn Lawson blows into town. As the descendant of one of the towns founding families, Rae has a target on her back. And although Leon is tasked with finishing her off, he’d rather claim her as his own instead.
First things first, Leon might be one of my favorite MMC’s of all time. He’s a dark, dominant grump who turns to a gooey mess for his girl. As much as I love Leon, Raelynn made me want to pull my hair out and although we do come to understand why she has no sense of self preservation I still found her character beyond stressful. I enjoyed the tension between these two and the overarching plot of this small town witch cult. If you like your books dark with lots of filthy smut abs interesting plot I think you will enjoy this!

ThIs book just didn’t really keep my attention at all. I got the recommendation from BookTok and I think maybe I should stop listening to those creators because this book was just awful. Really poorly written and the smut was so repetitive. The characters were really one-dimensional, especially Leon. Not worth the hype.
