I had this on my tbr for a while now and kind of binge-read this today (for a friend hahaha)
and loved it so much!
London 1818 - poor Benjamin tries to get rid of his illness of the addictive need to practice self-pollution
kinky and erotic
After discovering a cure, Benjamin has to gain seed of strong man to overcome his own illness, so this is a hot journey to recovery with the help of multiple players (sometimes at once and with sharing! in an established relationship, which is something I love!)
and loved it so much!

Oh, wow! Okay!
It sure was super delicious! I'm still drooling over the hotness of this book.
So, I've read An Onanist's Journey to Reclaiming His Seed before, and while it was good (I gave it 3 stars) it wasn't -for lack of a better word - enough! 'Not Enough' as in Holy Cow it had potential to be more but why did it end so soon?!!
Reading this one? Man! I am smiling smugly in utter satisfaction!
It was sweet, beautifully written, hot, dirty, and totally worth reading!
Do I suggest it to all you closeted and non-closeted perves out there (likes of myself) ? HELL YEAH!

4.5* I'm not normally a fan of historic fiction its just not my thing but this book was so hard to put down.
It kept me interested from start to finish and it was so hot. Seriously hot but written very well.
Definitely recommend even if your not a fan if historical fiction give it a go you might be surprised.

A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words Review An Alisa Review:

This was an interesting story. While regency style stories can be hit or miss with me I was happy with the ending to this story, I will admit that it took a bit of endurance for me to get through the first part of the book but the last third makes up for all the things that made it hard for the story to keep my attention. Benjamin is quite disturbed by his self-pollution and seeks out even the most radical of help as he sees so other way to cure himself. To make it worse he finds that the doctor is a fraud and even worse that he enjoys the “treatments”. Frederick has always been intrigued by Benjamin but took his icy and prudish exterior as a sign to back off, which he does until he sees Benjamin at a brothel in all his glory and can’t stop thinking of him as his.
The beginning of this story is a bit heart breaking with Benjamin pretty much torturing himself in fear that what he is doing is bad and will end up hurting him. We could just see how much this hurt Benjamin’s confidence and self worth as he fully thought it was slowly killing him and that he would only get worse. When we first see Frederick I wasn’t impressed, but he really redeems himself when he finally gets thru to Benjamin and shows him what love and pleasure can feel like.
Throughout most of the story we see it through Benjamin’s eyes, so we know how he is feeling even when he tries to deny it to himself as much as all those around him. He continues to worry even while getting his “treatments” even if he begins to feel better. There is hope for Benjamin when we see how much Frederick wants him to feel and experience on the positive spectrum together. While they are open in their relationship they are fully committed to each other and they both have to be comfortable with what is going on. The abundance of self doubt made it hard to get into the story, but the end with Benjamin and Frederick’s relationship and life made up for all that in the end.
The cover art by Natasha Snow is a wonderful sensual view of Benjamin.

Benjamin's health is rapidly deteriorating and he believes that he finds himself in such a woeful prediction because he can't help self-polluting.
Bashing the candle

Wonking his cronker
On advice from his doctor he undertakes an unusual treatment for his shameful condition.
This consists of consuming the juices of burly strong men, applied directly and in large quantities. This obviously has nothing to do with the shameful practises of other men who indulge in disgraceful practices with other men. This is a remedy for his poor health.
Benjamin is no sodomite, nor is he anything like Frederick, the rake he once spied at school in a tryst with a fellow male pupil and who seems to have been taking up much too much of his thoughts and unsavoury dreams.
What Benjamin soon learns is that the very thing that seems to be killing him may actually give him life.
What a delicious naughty read this was! Filthy in the way only the Merikan ladies can write!
I remember reading the story this book originates from (I received it as a bonus when I signed up for the K.A. Merikan newsletter) and it's been expanded on beautifully.
Who knew such a gem was hidden in a short story.

When I read a book by KA Merikan, I know it is going to be a little twisted and I am going to love it. This was no exception. Poor Benjamin suffers from onanism. Simply put: he masturbates. He believes it is causing his poor health and goes in search of a cure. He finds a doctor who tells him he must absorb the seed of virile men or his own seed will waste away, leaving nothing for the woman he marries one day. He finds himself in a brothel, taking it from both ends, not realizing that the doctor was a quack and that there's nothing wrong with him until an old schoolmate, Frederick, spots him and shatters his beliefs. This book was hot and a little romantic. I love how Benjamin and Frederick end up together, working to enjoy themselves as much as possible. I could have easily read another 100 pages of their sexual escapades!

The protagonist was so naive and trustfull that I felt really bad for him
I appreciated the writing style, the story and the setting.
I didn't find this story particulary arousing: there was too much power imbalance and not in a way that I found sexy, in the sexual scenes the thoughts instead of the feelings were described and they were always with a new partner.
I would describe it as a tale of a sexual awakening with many tribulations.
So a good book that deals with sexuality and filled with sexual encounters but wanting to explore the development of the main character.
It has an HEA

This book was so weird. I was so embarrassed for Benjamin. But I enjoyed where things went in the end. So glad he figured himself out and had Frederick to help him.
