I'd call this paranormal romance light - the story was light on the paranormal and light on the romance. I found the beginning of it very difficult to get into because she crammed a lot of history into dialogue. Although I know this is a series, Kade announces who the mastermind has been against them with no explanation as to why. It was a fast read and I would probably enjoy Pepper and Payton's stories.

I was enjoying this book but then it just ended. It felt so sudden and didn't make a heck of a lot of sense it was like oh the bad guys are all caught now woo.

Aside from that I love the romance between them. So hot! I also love Empaths. I always have.

I love this book! I am not normally a paranormal romance fan but the story just sucked me in! I would recommend this to any romance fan, even if you don’t normally read this genre. Kade and Sam are a great couple, Sam is a sassy heroine and Kade is all Alpha hero. This book as it all, insta love, romance, action, humor and great characters. Plus it is set in Scotland! I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I liked this book. The characters weren't always believable, but it was a nice easy, fast read.

I liked it but it is S L O W Burn and there are parts that felt disjointed.
Working on getting the whole series but the way they are listed makes it difficult to know what you have. The reason is the Authors Pen Names!
I actually purchased this one twice by mistake because they are listed on Amazon separately under each name. And on GR the same problem exist.
They need to be merged!
And they keep changing the editions on Amazon. Even now there is yet another NEW edition on Amazon and this one is no longer available. Yet it's the Same Damn Book!
Author's 2nd pen name is Piper Davenport!

Anyway, I will definitely be reading #2.

I loved this book! I saw that it was free and read the blurb and decided to give it a chance, and I am so glad I did. It was a unique twist on your typical love story. The characters were amusing, the story line intriguing, and the backstory was good. There could’ve been more buildup to the backstory and in the suspense, but honestly the book was fantastic without it. It kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. I laughed (a lot), cried, and yelled at my kindle throughout the book.
Samantha is a shy, quiet, and typically reserved person. That is until she meets Kade. She is instantly at ease with him and feels like she can be herself. The girl only her family and best friend Pepper have ever seen.
Kade is an outgoing, in charge, and do what I say kind of person. Until he meets Samantha and he will do anything to keep her happy and safe. His family teases him about his new obsession, until they get to know her.
This was the first paranormal I have read in a while and I was not disappointed at all! The love scenes were the closed door kind, hot enough to peak your interest but it stopped at the door. I don’t mind closed door scenes, but Tracey wrote the scenes so well she could’ve followed through with more description and it would’ve been even better.
The secondary characters were so well written that I HAVE to know their stories now. I enjoyed this so much I have already bought the rest of the series. Plus who can resist hot Scottish men with a secret? Surely not this girl.

I really really loved this book!!!

I found it when I was trolling some of the Indie lists and got it free at Smashwords. I loved it so much that on finishing (just then) I bought the next three books in the series. I cant wait to read them, I've been in a bit of a funk lately and have been rereading my books as I couldn't find anything new that really appealed to me, but this series is it.

This was a sweet, low angst New Adult(ish) romance. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of sweet New Adult(ish) romances. But, oh well. The writing and editing is fine and for those readers whose primary interests are 'awww' moments and endless (and I mean endless) declarations of love, this is for you.

It's sweet, yeah, but that's about all it has going for it. Unfortunately, I found it booorrringggg. Other than two people becoming completely self-obsessed, nothing really ever happens. Even the romance is of the insta-love, I recognise you as my destined mate variety and both parties accepted it without question. There are a few almost unrelated side events I think meant to add a little action, but they're so secondary to the "I love you. "No, I love you more." "I've missed you." "An hour is too long to be away from you." Bla, bla, bla that they feel tacked on, at best.

What's more, it felt like a lot of the book is dedicated to setting up the future books. Already I know without looking what couple will be in book two and three. It made this book feel scattered and unfocused. Plus, I found myself increasingly annoyed to see two women, but especially the MC, as described as dysfunctional shy and scared and then shown to be quite bold and outspoken. The characters as presented didn't match the characters as described at all.

So, my final say is that it's a fine book for the sort who like this sort of book, but not for me.

On an unrelated side not, just because this kind of thing annoys me, who is that supposed be on the cover? Because Kade is Icelandic, with blond hair and blue eyes. So who is to be kissing the person we can only presume is supposed to be Samantha? Hmmm? If you're gonna put characters on the front of the book they need to match! It's just my opinion, but I feel strongly about it.
