Her words expressed many of my thoughts I never had the words to verbalize.

This book speaks to me, to my pain, to my healing. I love poetry for being able to do that.

I loved parts of it but some of it just seemed long winded rants than poems iykwim.I loved her poems in Light Filters In because it was refreshing to see when all the new contemporary insta poets just wrote poorly spaced paragraphs. So its kind of disappointing to see that style being repeated but her voice remains strong and appealing like ever. looking forward to more of her works

Some of these poems were beautiful and relatable while others missed the mark. This is my first time reading the authors poetry collections and I’ll definitely be picking up her other book as I have heard great things.
