I think this series ranks in my all time top three. The first two books were great and this was right up their with them. Well done M Lawrence, you are a superb writer and the story and world building was first class. I will miss Nona Grey and Abbess Glass!!!

I'm very sad I didn't write my review for this book when I finished it to truly encapsulate how I felt. But, given that it's almost 2 months later and I can easily recall how spectecular this book was, I think that says something in of itself.

This book was full of amazing action. Despite action being at the forefront, it still manages to contain high levels of mystery, anger and intrigue. It is all written so well and without giving too much away, the suprises, particularly one make you need to put down the book and just stare into the distance to take it all in.

I stayed up well into the early hours of the morning finishing this book, which I cannot stress enough, I do not do. This book is so gripping it won't leave your mind until you've finished - and even then it'll still linger for days, or even months in my case.

Gratefully, the ending is well suited too. Having been scorned in the past by terrible endings, I will always have the fear or a series forever being tainted by a horrible ending. Thankfully, this book leaves you wistful, pleases and sad that it's ended.

Reading a series about Assassin nuns was just as incredible as I hope it'd be.

A great ending.
Nona continues to develop, and it is very clear to see in her choices.
I do think that Nona was a bit quick to forgive and forget (or at least not murder), but I think that has been a theme throughout the whole series.
