The first mystery I ever read was Silence of the Lambs. That book was amazing.
In a lot of ways, The Silkworm reminds me of that. I think it was the topics discussed and the tone. But you know, I love books where the the plot has to do with a book or writers.
I liked that Robin and Strike seemed more fleshed out, as did some of the scenes and incidents.
But you know what makes this book feel hollow? The supporting characters are just non-existant. Nobody really transfers over from book to book except Matthew - WHO I HATE. Matthew is awful and the fact that Robin is letting him walk over her is sad.
I loved the last two chapters of the book and right now I'm reading Book 3. If Robin and Strike don't seem to get their groove on and realize that they have feelings I will be a sad camper.

Took me a while to read but I loved it! I preferred the first book to this one just because it took longer to pick up the pace but it was good nonetheless.
Something I do think requires improvement, though, is Robin - I feel like she's a bit empty in personality, very submissive. I hope this changes in the next book.

‘The Silkworm’ is such a gripping read and I think I have the biggest crush on Strike. Shame about the author though.

Another cracking crime novel from Galbraith. A little slow to start, but super exciting ending.
I hope we get more Cormoran Strike novels - I really enjoy them.
