A potato discuss feeling worried about the future or bad things happening with his friends. Flamingo joins in with potato's worries but then the child tells them that they can't ever stop bad things from happening and so they shouldn't worry. Readers will enjoy the overall message that one should "enjoy the now." Sweet and encouraging.

For: readers wanting a book to help discuss how one shouldn't worry too much about the future.

Possible red flags: dealing with anxiety/worrying.

This picture book cleverly introduces the topic of anxiety to school aged children. I like the way worry was de-fanged in this book. Great book to help children think of ways to manage their anxiety.

This book is great to read with a kid that is worried about stuff, possibly as a conversation starter. It features the same characters as I'm Bored. I wouldn't read it at a storytime because it is too specific (unless you have a "worried" theme). It still features the sillyness you would expcet form Michael Ian Black, but it was not as funny as his past picture books.

Such a cute little book. It has a nice little lesson that teaches you it's better not to worry about things that we can't control, and that we should all try and enjoy the here and now.
