I thought that this, as a whole, was much better done and much more enjoyable than the two previous installments. The three plotlines of Magnus' budding romance with Camille, the romantic tragedy of Edmund Herondale, and the beginnings of the Accords were woven together pretty well. Magnus did seem more like himself this time around--just enough of his flamboyance to be, well, Magnus, but not too much that he seemed superficial and small-brained.
I didn't know whether to laugh or groan at the reference to another YA book-turned-movie, but I probably would have taken that opportunity as well, if I'm honest.

I mean its very interesting to see a glimpse of the generation before TID characters, though I really wanted to see more of Camille and Magnus' story

The ending gave such an opening to Clockwork Angel and I have already started my reread of it so I guess I have another excuse to reread it another time.

This novella was loads better than the first two. I found it to be way more entertaining and I really enjoyed getting to read more about Edmund Herondale's backstory. I honestly just love reading about anyone in the Herondale family.

Very good as usual. It was interesting to see insight into Will's mother and father when they were young, though a little haunting to see the shadowhunters' treatment of him. Still very well done, and I loved seeing Magnus and Camille at the beginning of their relationship. He really is a gentleman despite all his quips.

My favorite so far! It was nice to see Will's father, and learn the secrets of the Herondale family and how Edmund came to leave the Shadowhunting world.
