TJR does it again. I just love the way she tells a story. This was so real and raw. The characters are flawed but they love with their whole heart. This was not only a story about love and marriage but also a story about the love of your family and those you lean on the most.

this book was fine. It was a little long and too detailed for most of it but in general I enjoyed reading it. light and easy but doing more than other from its time.

Was very excited when I started the book. About a third of the way through I stopped because I didn’t like the portrayal of marriage. In all reality reflecting, I just didn’t like characteristics of the characters that lead them to this point in the plot. I think the last half of the book I really enjoyed. The overarching morals of the end of the book are really good and strong.

I loved it. I expected something different but I loved these characters from page 10 on (minimum) and I think Taylor has a great writing style and also how she handled the time skipping was in my opinion excellent. I wasn’t really bored about the speed of the book and I think that is beautiful. And the ending? Kinda loved it (even though it is sad) but it is still a very happy ending and I would love to find someday someone who will have the same kinda love with me that Ryan does with Lauren. And please, let me believe that this can be true and can happen. I really want that.
I can’t really put it in fitting words how much that books surprised me and absolutely make me love it. Absolutely recommend reading it. I was so emotionally involved with the characters and I think it really does captures the difficulty of a modern love. I really do.

A refreshing genuine read. In a world full of “and they lived happily ever after”s, it is great to read that sometimes, happily ever after isn’t exactly happy.

Taylor Jenkins Reid did a wonderful job at describing issues that can occur in marriages. She had me sobbing almost right away. I could feel the melancholy in the words.

A wonderful story about love, marriage, family.

Slight spoilers ahead!

I have such mixed feelings about this one. On one hand, I couldn't put it down. On the other hand, I was constantly mad at the characters for not being able to communicate. However, if they were able to communicate, their story wouldn't exist, so I get it.

•The emails were precious and made me want to write my own to my husband.
•I was SO mad when he got a girlfriend, but I guess thats what they agreed to
•I love that she figured out who she was, what she wanted, and what she enjoyed
•I don't think they needed to date and sleep with other people, but it did lead to some good revelations for her
•But won't those relationships be an issue down the line? If my husband and I took a break, saw other people, and then got back together, there is no way in hell I would be able to let that go
•I loved this quote because of how relatable is it

Overall, I did enjoy this book and would recommend it to a friend!
