**2021**
I enjoyed my reread and noted a few things that I want to do

*2020*
This was soo good! I really enjoyed all of the witchy stuff along with the other science-y and interior decorating parts of this book. Also any time there was going to be a two page spread, the last line on the previous page was a complete sentence. It always bothers me when there's a large, lovely picture that cuts through the middle of a sentence.

I would also recommend this to people who aren't interested in witchcraft or new age religion. It has the woo woo stuff but in ways that make sense to those who aren't pagan or wiccan or a witch.

Honestly this book is very similar to Hygge. If you’ve read any books about Hygge or other cozy lifestyles, you’ll probably vibe with this one too. I also really liked how the author's own experiences weren't overwhelming the rest of the book. Sometimes in non-fiction, the authors use their own experiences to relate to specific things and I'm not always here for it.

I agree with the author about how the concept of home is important and it's so easy to just become complacent with how your space looks. Sometimes we just don't have the time or money to get it done right away. And as someone with a pretty short attention span and is pretty indecisive about aesthetics, I tend to end up in a space that's half done or a mix of a lot of different styles. I am hoping to use some of this to just help me get on top of my apartment's vibe and focus energy towards my future home. I am currently saving up for a house and I want it to have everything we need.

For those who aren't interested in witchcraft, I recommend reading;

The Introduction
Witchcraft 101 - until the end of the Science of Crystal Healing and Herbalism
Manifesting - until the end of the Keys section (there is an astrology section here if that is of interest)
Clearing- until the end of Strategies for purging, Clearing spray, Using sound to clear, Natural cleaning to the end of the chapter
Protection - Owning a room
Comfort - All of comfort
Harmony - until the tarot section (unless you are interested in tarot)
Balance - All of balance
The conculsion

A super easy and pleasant read, Feldmann really knows her way around interior design. I really liked the way she combined her interior designing skills and witchcraft and how she makes use of her friends/coven members’ skills. The only thing that truly bothers me was the casual references so certain pseudosciences in a way that it made them sound like absolute truths. Sure, you can believe in auras, crystal healing and astrology, but insinuating that they’re as sure as science, is a slippery slope.

A gorgeously designed book by a fellow queer witch could’ve been worth 4 stars but some things in it got too close to homeopathy.

Loved this book so much, such an easy, comfortable, and cozy read. I would definitely recommend it. Beautiful photos. A food book for beginner witches or people who want to bring something special into their homes.
