woah, -deep and raw (an innuendo i'm sure Mike would enjoy).
gonna recommend this book to the addicts in my life, the substance abuse client's i work with, and my behavioral health co-workers.
btw, f*ck big pharma.
"no matter how long a person is sober, addiction is never truly beaten."// "i was like a blind person being given the gift of sight for the first time."

It just didn't stick with me. I enjoyed reading about the impact of the opioid epidemic but that was all

Just like every other human being, I am not so keen on YouTuber books, but Mike is so much more than just a YouTuber - and as someone who has admired his and Logan’s growth over the last two or three years, I really enjoyed the book.

This is a geniunely good book, and slamming the YouTuber tag on it doesn’t do it justice.

plus i also love when shit hits rock bottom which it very clearly does here

Although at points the writing definitely could be a little better, the book is fascinating and definitely well worth reading for a perspective on the opioid epidemic in the US.

LOVED this book. It really sucked me in. It gave me a good perspective on the addict side of addiction since I work with addicts on a daily basis. It allowed me to really learn what addicts can go through on a daily basis. There was so much detail. Wish he went more into his recovery at the end but other than that 10/10 recommend

We listened to this an an audiobook.  It is a great story about recovering from drug addiction and what worked for him.  There were some scenes that I felt like didn’t add to the book.  One is where three porn stars are giving him oral sex.  He’s bragging because he’s famous enough that people want to have sex with him.  It was odd and brought him down a level as far as respect.  It was a good story, just a little self-aggrandizement at moments.  It’s amazing that he was able to stay clean living and very hopeful.
