This is my first Bob Ong novel, and wow was I floored by how good it was! Bob Ong's writing style is so accessible yet so beautiful that there were so many seemingly simple lines that hit hard for me. He displays such an intimate understanding of human nature, what it means to love, and how our experiences and the people around us shape us. Phenomenal. Will definitely be reading more of his works in the future!

Teka umaagos pa luha ko jusko. Yung ending huhuhuhu. E kung umiyak at humagulgol ako sa paanan mo Bob Ong.

Medyo late na ata ako sa hype (2015 ata ‘to unang pinublish). Medyo lang naman.

Grabe. Isang storya ng pagmamahal, kalungkutan,at iba-iba pang parte ng buhay. Kakaiba ang porma at daloy ng storya at napakaganda ng istilo ng pagsusulat. Ibang klase talaga.

Wala na talaga ako ibang masabi para maipakita kung gaano kamangha-mangha ‘tong librong ‘to. Kailangan talaga siyang basahin at maranasan para maintindihan ang mahika sa pagitan ng mga salita ni Bob Ong.

Bagaman ito ay isang kwento ng pag-ibig, hindi ako nabigong makita ang kagalingan ni Bob Ong pagdating sa paggamit ng angkop na mga salita at sa pagbuo ng bagong mga konsepto. Pinakita rin dito ang kadakilaan ng pag-ibig at kung paano ito naging wagas at tunay para sa dalawang tao.

Dahil sa aklat na ito, gugustuhin mo talagang magmahal at magmahal at mahanap ang taong karapatdapat makatanggap ng iyong pagmamahal.

I might have to re-read this book considering that the ending left me questioning the whole plot of the book. It came to the point that I have to read reviews/interpretations from other readers. There were two reviews that I would agree on, one is how the story depicts different types of love. Second, the reader said "basically going back in time, but moving forward with the story." With the diverse range of characters and unique order of the story shows how well written it is without having to skip pages or leaving you hanging for its plot. 

Honestly, it took me a while to finish this book (due to life circumstances) but it is definitely worth reading.

The short blurb caught my attention. The dreamy, minimalistic cover drew me in. I am glad I picked this book up.

It's written in full Tagalog, and I was surprised at how unique it was with its enrapturing imagery and cast of characters. Some narratives were very hard-hitting (ie, sobbed so much on page 80).

I enjoyed this book but the ending felt a little strange to me.

If you have finished the book, and can you let me know what you thought of the lines:
"Isinilang ako sa mundo. Sa napakagandang mundo. Na ipinagkait sa aking makita."

... because it seriously threw me off.
