I'm a huge fan of Leckie's deep focus on culture and cultural differences in the Imperial Raadch series - it's rich and nuanced and unlike any other sci-fi I've read. It makes the aliens truly alien, and even other cultures within the human diaspora interestingly different, and these cultural differences arise organically in the story but then become important to the plot.

Given I had just re-read the ancillary trilogy I found Provenace better than Ancillary Mercy. A bit lighter in the approach suitable to young adults but also enjoyable for fans of the Imperial Radch world.
