Loved this bilingual graphic novel! Really reminded me of the breakfast club (for middle school).

Diverse characters, multiple languages, a great message, all things that make me more than happy to recommend this book to my students. This is great not only for bilingual readers, but perhaps even for some readers wishing to learn more Spanish. I also loved the art and none of the characters felt flat considering how quick the story was. Definitely recommend this one!

I absolutely LOVED this. I loved that it was in both English AND Spanish. I loved that they were doing everything they could to help someone who also felt invisible. It had so much GROWTH. It talked about homelessness! It talked about how what you see on the surface isn’t the full picture of a person.
And I ESPECIALLY loved the author’s note that said how graphic novels are GREAT for students who are doing their best to learn a new language.

Cute enough but not memorable. The English/Spanish speech bubbles annoyed me and the pacing/characters didn't flow together (I think 4 protagonists would have been adequate and the structure ending up restricting the pace).

The book has lots of tense and silly scenes. Like them thinking they were going to get in trouble for helping the homeless. Silly scenes was when they started to become friends.
