Really enjoyed this. While I don't usually read MM romance, this was written by Kresley Cole and it's an IAD novel, I was going to read it no matter the pairings.

As always, KC's writing brings me right in and keeps me wanting to turn the page and find out what is going to happen.

I was surprised with how much I liked Caspion, since in [b:Shadow's Claim|12988016|Shadow's Claim (Immortals After Dark, #13; The Dacians, #1)|Kresley Cole|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1336161703s/12988016.jpg|18147798] I couldn't really stand him.

With Prince Mirceo I loved how close he and Mina were/are. I love seeing close sibling relationships. I was glad that he was the one pursuing Caspion, since in so much of his life everything is handed to him and rather easy to attain.

There were some issues that kept me from really loving this installment though. The relationship side of the romance was kind of glossed over, there was plenty of sexy times between them but I felt like their friendship was so sudden in the beginning and then there was very little expanded on their relationship outside of the lust and attraction.

The time that Caspion was in the other realm was also glossed over. He was there for 500 years, spending a little bit of his time there, when he was there, would have been nice.

And I also wish there was a little more with the secondary characters. A little more Lothaire (when don't I want more Lothaire?) and a little more Trehan and Bettina.

Can't wait for Wicked Abyss. So excited!

You would think that after 16 books, this series would start to seem repetitive and readers would start to lose interest in the characters but you would be so very wrong. I seem to get more invested in this series with every book that I read. I feel like I would willingly read 30+ more book set in this series because I just cannot get enough of these characters.

This truly is a character-driven series and Shadow's Seduction brings together two of my favorites, Caspion the Tracker and Prince Mirceo Daciano. I'm so happy Kresley Cole gave us the M/M romance we deserved between these two. I could not get behind Caspion and Bettina at any point and I wasn't sure I really liked him all that much reading her book but my feelings for him were completely different this time around. From the moment he and Mirceo met, I knew they were going to be perfect together. Admittedly, the trials they faced during their courtship annoyed me a little more than usual but I was still rooting for them on every page.

The only reason this one didn't get 5 stars from me is because of how abrupt the ending was. I felt like I was missing chapters because I really didn't think I'd reached the end. Talk about a cliffhanger. As I'm almost caught up with this series, I know I'm not going to get a resolution to that cliffhanger for a while and I'm so annoyed by that. I hate that these books don't seem to go in any semblance of order and the next book in the series won't address the cliffhanger ending of this one and who knows how long it will take before we get a resolution?

Overall, 16 books into this series and I'm still as hooked as I was at book 1, maybe even more so.

Angst, action and adventure! The pauper and the prince, Dacian Prince Mirceo Daciano is a young hedonist and death demon Caspion the Tracker has come from considerably humbler beginnings yet the two become friends. When Mirceo discovers Caspion is his fated mate he is overjoyed. Caspion not so much. He spends most of the book avoiding the inevitable. I enjoyed the book and though it can be read standalone I recommend reading Shadow's Claim (The Dacians #1) first to get the most out of this story.

Okay I loved this 😭

Also ppl said I didn’t need to read this on my initial series read but that’s false (no fault to them I didn’t want to read it lol)!!! It totally sets up the book after Munro (I’m like 90% certain). I’m so happy I waited for the audiobook. I may have to reread Shadows Claim bc I no longer hate Cas.

While I liked the story ... it felt too short and rushed. Caspian and Mirceo are a great couple, once they manage to get through all the insecurities and new couple drama that always happens. It was great to see Lothaire in action again.

I love the set up for Kormina's story. Lothaire is definitely up to something.

** 2022 ** I actually enjoyed this one more this time around. I'm doing a complete series re-listen (bummer this isn't on audio yet), and it packs more of a punch when everything is fresh & current.

It has to be hard on both of them, when Caspian ages so rapidly in Mirceo's eyes ... and Mirceo's such a "child" in Cas's POV. What's super weird though, is Nyx is nowhere to be seen in this book. I'd completely forgotten about their bounty hunting escapades. Now that Kresley's back in action, I'm really looking forward to Kormina's rescue :)

So good, I read it in one day. While I found some aspects to be repetitive I overall loved it and really enjoyed getting to see how the characters grew throughout the story. I can't wait for the next one!

It was Meh. Both of these guys are man-whores, which is pretty stereotypical for queer characters, and I didn't care much for that.
