I like this one better. It has more emotional range and stuff.
So, thoughts. Jeremy is a simp. I really dislike him and feel he has no place in the story. His existence is so off-putting.
I like Mike, and I like Derek as well. I hope book 3 is more focused on Derek and like this one is a little more focused on Mike.
Plot-wise, this is also slightly better than the first one. I guess the villain isn't really complex or whatever, but it's not another paedophile story so there's that.

I freaking love Deanna Madden. And Mike and Jeremy too. They are all such beautiful, flawed humans.
Alessandra Torre writes the best romantic suspense/thrillers, bar none (at least for me). I flew through this book, I absolutely had to know how things were going to turn out for Deanna and her crew. The pacing was perfect, the short chapters in multiple POVs that kept me intrigued and set my heart racing.
My only qualm is a bit of a spoiler, and is definitely a personal preference -
I will, without a doubt, be picking up the next book in this series soon!

I wish she had tortured/at least spoken to Marcus a bit before killing him. I felt like that scene was a bit rushed. She spent a good amount of time imagining killing people, but the actual act was over pretty quickly. Maybe I just really hated him and wanted him to suffer more...I will, without a doubt, be picking up the next book in this series soon!

I still don’t know how I feel about this book. I love the characters, the writing, even the plot but it was sooooooooooo agonizingly slow that I got I little bored. I’m going to read book 3, but I’m not as excited as I was with the first one.

I enjoyed this as much as the first. The author makes good use of the dual narrative to create suspense.
Again, this is a book where you have to suspend your disbelief but it is a bloody good read if you do!

Die Story / Idee
Die ganze Idee, die hinter dieser Geschichte steckt, gefällt mir nach wie vor sehr gut. In diesem Buch geht es nicht nur im psychopathische Killer, Vergewaltiger, Mörder oder ähnliches sondern auch um ebenso eine kranke Heldin. Die Grenzen von gut und böse verschwimmen daher sehr und es gibt moralisch Fragwürdige Handlungen auf beiden Seiten. Man darf das alles nicht allzu ernst nehmen und generell ist die ganze Geschichte leicht übertrieben und auch sehr an den Haaren herbeigezogen - aber genau das macht dieses Buch unglaublich Unterhaltsam. Das war auch bereits bei Teil eins der Fall. Die erotischen Szenen empfand ich in Band 2 als etwas mehr und nicht ganz so interessant wie in Band 1. In Band 1 ging es dann doch noch mehr um die Webcam Kunden, was ich sehr interessant fand. Da ich absolut kein Fan von Erotik Büchern bin, hätte es gerne etwas weniger sein können davon und noch etwas mehr Thrill.
Die Charaktere
Die Hauptfigur, Deanna alias JessReilly19, hat wieder einmal mit sich selbst zu kämpfen. Aufgrund Ihrer psychischen Erkrankungen ist das auch kein Wunder. Allerdings ist Sie in Band 2 dazu gezwungen sich weiterzuentwickeln, was Sie auch tut meiner Meinung nach. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine gewisse Entwicklung ersichtlich. Allerdings wirkt die Protagonistin in diesem Band im allgemeinen etwas zickiger auf mich, was mir nicht ganz so gut gefallen hat. Sie macht Fortschritte aber auch Rückschritte in Ihrer Entwicklung und es ist ein stetiges auf und ab, was ich gut und interessant fand. So geht es immer irgendwie weiter und es kommt keine Langeweile auf. Jeremy, Ihr UPS Bote (und mehr), war mir sehr sympathisch und ich mochte seine Verständnisvolle Art. Ich empfand Ihn allerdings nicht als sehr tiefgründigen Charakter, Deanna spielt eindeutig die Hauptrolle.
Der Schreibstil
Die Autorin hat einen tollen Schreibstil. Ausführliche und Bildhafte Beschreibungen, machen dieses Buch noch spannender und unterhaltsamer. Alles lässt sich super und flüssig lesen. Die erotischen Szenen sind auch sehr gut beschrieben und die Autorin findet für diese Szenen wirklich die passenden Worte.
Abschließendes Fazit
Ein weiterer spannender Teil aus Deanna's Leben, der mich sehr gut unterhalten konnte. Spannend, Psycho, Schräg und auch Humorvoll - ein Thriller nach meinem Geschmack. Auch wenn mir weniger Erotik Szenen lieber gewesen wären, hat mir auch der zweite Band wieder gut gefallen. Schade, dass es Band 3 bisher nur auf Englisch gibt, denn ich lese eine Reihe lieber in der gleichen Sprache. Übrigens sollte "The Girl in 6E" auch verfilmt werden, aber leider gibt es nicht so viele Infos dazu. Ich würde mich freuen über eine Verfilmung.

I would read 10 books following this character, Deanna Madden is a killer. She has a rule to never leave her house but when Annie an innocent little girl is put at risk by someone Deanna believes to be a client of hers on her online cam business she breaks that rule.
In this book we follow the aftermath what happens after she breaks her rule, Deanna gives herself the pleasure of going outside in this one. She has a feeling of being free but this come at a cost because it’s slowly getting harder for her to stay inside. She still does her job which is were we meet this books problem. A guy who get obsessed with ‘Jess Riley’ Deannas in-line persona and who will stop nothing to get what he wants.
His action cause us to meet Mike, Deanna computer man who can hack, control and destroy and let me tell you he was a nice surprise! I like his character hearing from his POV was so interesting and raw especially with what he goes through in this book.
Then we’ve got Jeremy ah sweet Jeremy, I feel bad for him because we all know he is in love with Deanna and let just say it wouldn’t be easy being in love with a woman like her. Jeremy is the innocent bystander who really doesn’t understand exactly what he’s gotten himself in to.
This book is slow burn, fast paced and extremely addicting. I will be reading the next one and I wish there were more!
