Good, easy read. I'm a big fan of Turner's, so it was cool to read this. Be forewarned, it's more of a travel log summation, and the drama is to a minimum, save for the part where Tarrant gets belligerent. As successful people do, he makes the journey sound easy.

I have a lot of time and love for Frank Turner and his music. This is a good, insightful tour diary, which made me appreciate the blood and sweat that he has put it in over hundreds of shows and countless floors slept on to get to where he is. I also really liked this because it was written entirely by Frank (no usual rock 'n roll ghostwriter), and the audiobook was read by him.

His love for music and performance is particularly affirming in his passion to remove the barrier between crowd and performer to achieve, as he puts it, a "togetherness". There are moments throughout the book where you can feel and understand what he is talking about. I've been to so many gigs of other bands where the barrier was there, but this is a great reminder of how it should be.

As a Frank Turner fan this accounting of his life on the road was a fantastic listen.

Frank Turner describes his early days of grinding it out on the road as a starving musician. From hardcore kid to folk rock hero Mr. Turner’s journey is equal parts exciting and beautiful tragedy. A true poet.

Overall this is a pretty good book! I've seen quite a few reviews that say its repetitive, and yes, it kind of is, but what do you expect from a book that's pretty much a tour diary? That's the nature of touring, and plenty of unique stories and events and people pop up along the way, to the extent to which I'd say its actually much less repetitive that I'd expect the average account of touring to be.

I really enjoyed reading about the adventures and mishaps of Frank and his team, and their many many friends. As a fan of Frank for a long time now, I loved this peak into the behind the scenes of his touring life and how hard he worked to get to where he is today.

For any fans of Frank Turner, this is a must read.

He pasado por muchas etapas con este libro. Me he aburrido, he odiado a Frank, le he vuelto a querer, me he enfadado con el... He odiado la estructura del libro y me dieron ganas de dejarlo. Pero al final volví a su música, a disfrutarla y a escucharla con más atención y cariño gracias a las confidencias del autor.

A great overview of what it's like to go from dive bars to arenas and the ways in which tours are put together. You get a great insight into what Frank is like as a guy, though at times you definitely get the impression that he doesn't want to be quite as open as he tries to be.

The showlist was a nice addition at the back, though it did make me realise just quite how much I've seen him over the past few years.
