Initially, this book seems promising from the first couple of pages. Could it be, a book not solely focused on one young, horny woman but a nice couple exploring lands together?
Oh no. Should really read those blurbs...
It isn't terrible written, just a bit weirdly written. The thesaurus should have been put down. The main thing, aside from the Mary Sue protagonist and obvious love interests, is the ridiculous plot and total butchery of England done by the author. The Severn "Sea"? What even.
The author asks the reader that they indulge in her liberties at the beginning, but sadly when one cannot even get geography remotely correct, these liberties are simply laughable.
And the speed with which the main characters gets over her break up to a man she is madly in "forever love" with and jump on to the next man that breathes is preposterous.
Generic YA twaddle. You'll love it.

I love books about fairies, witches, fairy tales and magic so right off I had a good vibe from this book. I really enjoyed the book and while it seemed rushed in parts I really liked the basic idea of the plot as well as the romance aspect.
This book is definitely a "guilty-pleasure" read and would recommend reading this in a bubble bath with wine and chocolate because it is a fun fluffy read

Thank God for Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy Fanatics' Read to Review! I get to read some awesome books from time to time thanks to them (and the authors of course) ! This book had an excellent plot.. It had a bit of everything and managed to mix different paranormal beings into one novel smoothly.
'Give me, a fairytale' kept me guessing the entire time..it had magic,love/lust, a bit of mythology, fae and an intriguing fantasy world set in England! The descriptions were really good and I enjoyed the characters. The contrast in the beginning between Elyse and Diantha's personalities was written really well and they actually had me feeling the emotions that they were going through. The different points of view and the frequent shifts between the past and the present was especially interesting. It was also nice to know parts from both Cade as well as Lillith's POV.
A unique and captivating novel and definitely an enjoyable read!

I love books about England and its faerie history, and I liked is book. It's short, and I read it in a couple of sittings. I did think that it rushed to an ending - I wish he last quarter or so of the book had been drawn out to fully explain what was happening. After setting up a dramatic conclusion, I felt that she cheated us a bit from the full expressin of the climax.

Captivating and interesting for the most part. I can't say I'm entirely happy with the ending, it felt rushed and chaotic. But most of the book was really good. I loved the little bits about Frona's daughters, god Lourdes irked me to no end (she deserved being locked up in a tree for hundreds of years). It was interesting to read how everyone's different stories mingled and interlaced with each other's. I felt bad for Elyse and the things she had to endure because of her sister's unrelenting desire for someone not meant for her. Altogether though, the mingle of the wyrding and the fae made for an original and interesting story. I would have given it more stars if it was a little longer and the end was not so rushed, but it was good nonetheless.

While nothing about the plot or characters is particularly new, the way it is constructed and the flavor of the world is quite enjoyable! I particularly liked how the wyrding woman metaphysics worked- very solid and complimented the story (not distracted). Since this is the first in a series, I'm interested to see where else this author takes the world.
