After the mafia book this cozy novella was just what I needed. I was kicking me feet and just having a good ol’ time with it.

Emmy is a wrestling coach and former Olympian winner wrestler. He is fat and the body descriptions were great and just very fat positive. Emmy is Korean and Bi and recently divorced and moved to Texas. He loves to hang out in this book shop and runs into the owner, Jamir.

Jamir is a sexy Black glass wearing man who is also Bi and notices Emmy right away, but even more so when Emmy leaves his copy of Pride and Prejudice in the store. When Emmy returns to pick it up he is caught in a storm and ends up in the home with Jamir.

Jamir is struggling to figure out the direction with his life. Having the bookstore was never his dream, he wanted to be a photographer but he was passed down the bookstore. Emmy is having to battle his ex who now wants him back after leaving him for another guy. I loved the friendship dynamics with Jamir’s friends they had me smiling and laughing. It felt homey and just amazing vibes. I really enjoyed this novella and cannot wait to read more from Georgina.

This sweet, romantic book was absolutely adorable.  Jamir was living my dream. Owning a bookstore that I also got to live atop of. I'd pay really good money to be able to do that within the next five years of my life. He was also too cute when it came to his interactions with Emmy. Emmy pissed me off for a little bit. There were several times I screamed at him: first, why wasn't that damn ex-hoe of his blocked the moment they were broken up and second, I thought he was about to play my baby Jamir (as you can tell Jamir was an instant soft spot for me). I had to let Emmy know that I wasn't going for it and would fight. I'm so glad in the end the two were able to overcome several hardships and get their relationship together. Although I had predicted wedding bells by chapter three and I didn't get my wedding. So now I'm expecting a book two and I would like a wedding please and thank you!

I love the first book of the author but sadly this time the writing did not work for me. I wanted to love this so bad because of Emmy being a plus size MMC and I need more books with those in my life but I don’t want to pressure myself through this. I am sure there are people out there who will love this book.
