This book changed EVERYTHING. It pulled all my emotions out caught myself smiling, screaming, and crying. I already feel the main six are more than just characters in a book. Book 3 was a true turning point in my new addiction to this series.

People weren't lying when they said things pick up once you get to the 3rd book. This was definitely better than the first two. There were more things happening plot-wise, there was more at stake, and alot more development and closeness of the characters' relationships.

I adored Loren's development from overcoming his addiciton as well as seeing his struggle to maintain his sobriety as well. And I love love love how he ADORES Lily and ultimately just wants the best for her. He was actually being the boyfriend that Lily deserves.

I also admire that we really got to see Lily struggle to get better. I've been rooting for her and felt sympathy for her since book 1. I can't wait to see her get better!

Again! Loved Rose and Conner (not that big of a fan of them individually, but they just work as a couple). I can't wait to read their book.

I really felt the friendship between the characters in this book and am gradually seeing the formation of "the core six". I also enjoyed them diving into their parental relationships as well. I can't wait to connect with the characters as much as everyone else does.

One thing that did aggravate me and something that I will never get over is Ryke and Daisy. They know how inappropriate their relationship is and yet the authors are gonna pursue them anyways. I just can't get behind it.Β

The more I read this series and the more I get attached to all the characters from the series. Seeing Lily and Lauren put so much effort into being better for each other, and for themselves. Seeing them battle their addiction, seeing them open to other people and seeing the positive outcome of Lauren being sober and Lily not consuming abusively sexe has brought into their lives is a beautiful thing to see.

I understand that addicts lie, and I understand that their friends and family have to be borderline rude and apply tough love and not fumble to support them and push them into getting better and wanting to get better, but the way Lau and Ryke made a bet on Lily was so demeaning. And they have been very demeaning toward Lily a lot of time, even more, in the past two books, and it's quite annoying and frustrating. Especially Ryke. He is better in this book, and he now treats Lily better, and I understand that he did that because he was protective of Lauren, but you can be protective and not be a complete piece of shit and a complete asshole toward someone who is also struggling.Β

The relationship between Ryke and Daisy really rob me the wrong way. I know that she is been physically described as having a really grown body but as a quote-on-quote legal adult of 21 years old, all the flirting and sexual undertone between Ryke and Daisy should have never happened. The author could have perfectly made a friend-to-lover relationship between Ryke and Daisy without all of that. An age gap of 5 years is completely fine when there is no minor involved. And yeah Lauren reprimanded Ryke and he is now only friends with Daisy, and nothing will probably happen until she is legally an adult, but all of that was very borderline and uncalled for, in my opinion. They could have had a cute simple friendship without all of that flirtation and sexually related anything.

Connor and Rose are so cute. I love them, nothing bad to say about their relationship.Β  But all the scenes where they are arguing and the rest of the group are simply watching always get me like πŸ§πŸΏβ€β™€οΈπŸ§πŸΏπŸ§πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ.Β
