Completely loved it. Venetia was a easily likable but strong willed girl who fought for herself and what she wanted without being cowed by the overwhelming Lachlan. Their relationship and the fact that they knew each other as children with their family pasts made their relationship interesting from the start. Even more so when they were reunited in an interesting way and their relationship took off at a rocky but fully enjoyable start. I could truly believe that they had fallen in love and love their relationship.
I also love a book that has some action in it but doesn't take the usual turn that creates a damsal in need of rescuing (which don't get me wrong I do enjoy) but rather just enough to carry the plot well and grab my attention. Keeping it interesting is difficult to do without drastic measures but this book pulls it off amazingly well which is refreshing.
I would gladly read this book again.

This book was fine, but I didn’t like how some things happened.

Lachlan and Venetia were fine, but I didn’t necessarily like them. Lachlan tries to act like he’s a villain at the beginning, but it was obviously fake. Also, the fact that Jamie is supposed to be loyal to him, but doesn’t act like he cares about Lachlan’s orders just made the act annoying.

I was also a bit confused about Lachlan pretending to be dead. His mother warns him that he can’t be walking around as people will see him and it would ruin the whole plan. Yet, he doesn’t try to hide at all, so I didn’t understand who knew about him and who he was hiding from. I thought his clan didn’t know he was alive?

The mess at the end was annoying, and I got even more annoyed with Lachlan’s decision.

This book was fine, but I didn’t enjoy it. While I would be interested in reading about Charlotte and Michael and the next book in the series sounds fun, I don’t think I’ll continue.

Always the same plot, different characters. It's getting old. I hope she changes the structure a bit in her next novel.

Nothing especially wrong with this, I just never found myself in the right mood to enjoy it. Bit of a shame, as it started promisingly, but never mind.

I am so loving this series!!
I loved reading about Lachlan and Venetia, though I figured they'd end up together just from the first novel of the series. I'm excited to see what happens with Mrs. Harris and "Cousin" Michael :)

My favorite part of the novels lately has been the author's notes. She gives the reader a great insight into what she was thinking as she wrote the books, and I immensely enjoy it!

Ok this is back on track to what I am used to and expect. Actually, I might have liked this one a bit more. Lachlan was different from your rakes and rogues, probably the Scottish twist, but I liked it. I also liked Venetia because she was, to me, a realistic strong woman. She could stand up for herself and demand what she wanted but she also had the softer side and the uncertainty because she just wanted to be loved.

Venetia Campbell goes for a visit to her childhood home in Scotland, but at a ball she meets a stranger at the masque ball, and dances with him who rouses up her senses after sharing a sensual kiss that makes her melt into him. But then when she finds herself kidnapped by Sir Lachlan Ross, whom she knew as a young girl. Now the one who is feared as the Scottish Scourge, she still finds him tempting as chocolate, only much more wicked. Lachlan, knows that despite him knowing Venetia as a youth, he knows he must get back to her father for all that he owes him and his clan, for once a prosperous one, now struggling to survive. So he kidnaps Venetia, even though he wishes he had another choice, but knows that this will be the only way to get what is owed to him and to his people, whom he has the responsibility to. So now despite his plans to use her, a fiery passion is discovered between the two, and a tender love that could heal betrayal and hurt of the past.Beware A Scot's Revenge is the third installment in the School for Heiresses series. I have been able to read this whole series, although not in order, and this being my second time reading Beware A Scot's Revenge, and despite it being a couple years since I have read it, I still found myself mystified by such a magical romance. This is my favorite of the series, and I fell in love with both of these in depth characters that were portrayed so well throughout the story. The plot was enticing and exciting, filled with romance, adventure, intrigue and a powerfully portrayed romantic story. This is definitely a first rate romance that will suck you into the story from the first line! So if you have yet to read this one or any books from this author, I would recommend running to the store right now and treat yourself to a 'romantic treasure'.
