Okay wow. This took me longer than I expected, but much of it was because I knew I was facing heartbreak. 

Ultimately, the heartbreak was worth it. The end definitely felt like the calm before the storm, and I low-key feel just a teeny bit bad for Chaol’s legs. But yay Dorian is back!!!!

I loved the revelation of Kaltain and Lysandra (who is now my favorite), and am chocked at the last info about Lorcan hunting Elide. Also Manon’s turnaround?! Let’s go!! 

And the tension between Aelin and Rowan… yummy. Let’s go.

Nothing will EVER be better than the ending of this book. Not a single damn thing I didn't like about it. And that damn plot twist - I don't think I'll make it until next year

Did SJM want to just write a werewolf book? Because I feel like she did based off of this book...

Manon and Aedion are my favorite characters in this series so far. I am also glad that Dorian is back to being himself again and I think maybe we will get some scenes with him and Manon in the future? That would be nice to read. 

One thing I don't know if I am liking is that SJM seems to want to have every character be special at some point. For example, both Kaltain and Lyssandra got unique powers.

This book. THIS BOOK 😍😍😍 I’m obsessed. It had me (as SJM would put it) “by the godsdamned throat” I was excited to pick this up every time I put it down. 

Completely action packed, every part of it moving and flowing together. So many missions, rescues, crossovers, twists. It never stopped. I was fully invested in every story. 
The friendships made, the bantering (ahhhh!), and redemption arcs were so, SO good.
