Holy hell

I need to find me a prince that is this swoon worthy and can make my knees weak. Sweet Lawd. Add in a man with a British accent and I'm butter. So glad I discovered this author.

Can't wait to read Ron's story next. I have a feeling it's going to be even hotter.

DNF!

The writing and plot were phenomenal...BUT the heroine ruined the whole book for me. She uses the hero as a rebound leaves him hanging right AFTER sex because her EX who cheated on her called. Years later...Hero is dedicated to her...but yet again..SHE leaves and chooses her business over him. What made me DNF was the fact that she messed up but the author made the hero chase after her with a big gesture. She never once apologized even though she felt guilty for leaving him the ways he did.

This was a quirky, new take on an age old story. Girl meets prince, girl falls in love, girl marry's prince. However, this does not quite happen so quickly or efficiently.
Emily and Christopher 'Kit' meet while she is studying abroad in London, him working as a TA and her as a student. One fateful encounter would change their lives forever.
Ten years later, with a decorating company for Emily and being second in line to the throne for Kit, things are much different. But the attraction is there, something that they can't hide from.
With challenges around every corner, it is hard for the two to really have a chance to find if it is true love or just lust that's between them.

At times this story was far fetched and a little bizarre but it was quick fun read.

I’ve always been fascinated by Royalty. Especially British Royalty. From Richard the Lionhearted fighting the Crusades to Henry VIII and his six wives. (Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived) As a teen in the ‘80s of course I was a huge fan of Princess Diana and know where I was when she got married (summer camp) and when she died. ( at home the day after my bachelorette party). I love watching and reading current events stories about William and Harry and the way that they continue their mother’s legacy.

I think that Diana would be equally as proud of this fictional Royal. Prince Kit seems to embody some of the same traits that she had. Kindness, empathy, leadership, humility and a genuine concern for his people.

Emily is more of what I would consider a modern American princess. Educated, determined, hard working and busy savvy.

The road their journey takes them on is bumpy. However, I certainly enjoyed the ride. :)

Royal Ruin

We met Emily and had heard of Kit in Jessica Peterson's Study Abroad series so I knew I had to dive in and read this series and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when there was a major time jump I did not see coming. I loved seeing these two finally admit their feelings and fall in love ... the only downside for me was that these two weren't together for long enough for me (especially in terms of admitting such big feelings).

Great book

I really enjoyed this book. Emily and Kit had a missed connection years ago. Now she’s divorced and he’s set to be the next king....I loved the story, the characters were loveable and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough.

Ten years ago Emily's world crumbled when she found out that while she was studying abroad her boyfriend cheated on her. She went to her professor and one thing led to another and they had sex. Right after their encounter the cheating asshat calls and she answers, leaving Kit with the aftermath of it. They didn't speak again. He had a family crisis to deal with and she eventually went back to the states.

Now she's back in the UK vying for a job for the royal family's foundation. She didn't expect to see Kit, he's the heir to the throne. She does and he's still just as good looking but something is different. His eyes are cold now, not soft and friendly like they were.

Kit has to clean up a mess his sister has made and the queen suggests that a distraction needs to happen to draw attention to something else. She suggests that Kit and Emily have a fake engagement. He finds out that Emily's company is likely to close if business doesn't pick up. Her ex screwed her in the divorce and took most of the equity from her design business. This fake engagement is the answer to her problems. Emily doesn't want to get married again and Kit doesn't want to give his heart to anyone. Nothing could go wrong right?

I enjoyed this book. You could feel the emotions roll off the pages. Both Kit and Emily are passionate people and together they start fires.

Ergh,

I feel like this was written because of Meghan and Harry something I think most British people are done with hearing about.

First off who the hell around the age of 20-30 says "nincompoops" No one.

"fingers with mine the way Luke used to do, and it was like a bomb went off inside me."
Oh brother.

"Seeing him touch her like that sent me reeling, even more than the sex.”
Really?

OK. So she revenge has sex with this guy when she was in school because her boyfriend cheated on her. Said boyfriend rings she runs off to be with him and princey boy was sad cause he liked her but then his parents died and it kind of went to crap. Fast forward to them meeting again her now divorced from that boyfriend cause he cheated on her. I got to 39% in and stopped highlighting everything that annoyed me cause there was a lot.

I don't think this is very well written. It doesn't flow it feels so disjointed, its almost like a screen play and it jumps from scene to scene.
