Jane Austen’s Emma meets Chinatown meets NYC prep school. Fun, fluffy read and very mild

Love, Decoded is such a great book! As a mega Kpop and kdrama fan, I was so excited to see some of my favorite groups and one of my favorite dramas mentioned. As a huge nerd, I also loved all of the programming. The matchmaking process was also really intriguing.

My favorite thing about this book is definitely the characters. Gigi is amazing. She’s kind and warm-hearted, and so so smart. Her best friend Kyle is super cool and supportive. The secondary characters are all great as well.

While the story is a bit predictable, i don’t think that’s a bad thing, and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

I did not enjoy this at all.

I appreciate the author's choice to have a flawed protagonist, but that's about it.

The love story wasn't interesting, the characters were not interesting, and the climax was so frustrating.

3.5/ I mean the concept was great, the excecusion was lacking in some parts and this is definitely a book i needed more pages from. More in the ending, more in the build-up, more about each storyline, less Etta.

screaming crying this book was so so cute i loved it sm. while i wish the romance could have been introduced earlier on in the book, the non romance plotlines were engaging enough that it didn’t bother me as much as it could have.

big thank you to penguin teen for an eArc of this book! all opinions are my own

I really love Jennifer Yen’s rom coms and I especially love that this one was slightly related to “A taste for love”. This one was great too especially about friendship and what it means to be a good friend to someone or if you’re being self serving.
