A book written for children, but there are lessons for everyone 🖤

This was a pretty predictable book. I appreciated the world that was built, the animal languages, and the consciousness of everything from stones to trees to beams made from those trees. I just knew how it would end from the beginning and there were a ton of typos (especially in the last chapters) that threw me off. It’s very obvious who/what kind of person this novel is referencing and I’m not a huge fan of that kind of reality permeating my escapism. Fine book. Just not really for me.

I cannot recommend this book enough. Sharp writing and so tender hearted. Just an absolute delight of a read. A new comfort read that felt nostalgic even reading it for the first time.
