So many twists

I absolutely love the Midnight Mayhem series and this book didn’t disappoint. There was so many twists that had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. I absolutely loved Killian and Sass’s story. Not just in the present but also from the past. There is a lot of darkness in this story especially from Sass’s past that it was hard to read without feeling heartbroken for her. She is an amazingly strong female character and Killian is a trickster just like his nickname but them together is explosive.

Reading In Fury Lies Mischief was an absolute mind f. You never really know what is going to happen next. I loved every moment of the battle of wills between the MFC and MMC, Saskia and Killian. The chemistry between the two of them is freaking incredible! I adore Saskia and as for Killian...well, he's the very bad boy that every girl doesn't need in their life but secretly desires. The two of them are each other's greatest enemy/rival and when they clash, it's explosive.

The world of Midnight Mayhem is further explored and a lot of events from the first book of the series make even more sense now. There were a couple of cameos from another of Amo's series which was awesome and many of the characters from the previous book were in this one as well. In Fury Lies Mischief was so good, I couldn't put it down! I can't wait to pick up the third book in the series!

If you like dark romantic suspense books, you've got to read this series!

*** Please check the CW and TW for this book!
This is a dark romance with very dark material that some may find triggering. ***

AMAZING. BRILLIANT. DARK. SUSPENSFUL. EPIC.

That's my whole review .. just kidding!

Let me tell you that Amo Jones has such an amazing talent for developing worlds that you become completely engrossed in. From the first page, I was thrown into a world so deeply that I lost complete touch with reality. Every image painted with her words was so vivid in my imagination that it was impossible not to read as if I was watching a movie. I felt the same way when I read In Peace Lies Havoc and I was so happy to see that book 2 in this series was just as amazing.

Killian and Saskia shouldn't work. Their entire relationship is built in suspenseful mystery, shrouded in fury, and burned in passion. I loved their banter and push and pull throughout every interaction. Every moment was ignited with a different match and the flames were bold.

As what you would come to expect from Amo Jones and the worlds she creates, this book is laced with so much intrigue you have to keep turning the pages to know more. Then she throws in a plot twist that had me freaking out. And then wrapped it up with a HEA you would expect from Killian.

I can't wait for the next book in the series, to know more about this mystery and the Brothers of Kitznich.

You need to one-click this, you need this book, you need this series.

**Trigger warning: This is a dark romance. There are many triggers throughout the book and I advise you to read with caution.

And as always from my reviews, my top quotes of the book:

"I was built for war, not love. I don't want to break people. I want them already broken."

"He bathes in the presence of my demons, teasing them with his stupid grin."

"Killian is the kind of wild you want to run away with, not cage."

His eyes sparkle with mischief. That's Killian. Mischief. Only his mischief is a ploy to distract you, because below that surface lies fury."

I am absolutely loving this series! I don't understand why I have waited so long to read it!!

In Fury Lies Mischief is book 2 in the Midnight Mayhem Series and it follows Killian and Saskia's story. Saskia is a new recruit for Perse's dance crew and Killian is this trickster, playboy with telekinesis power. Saskia refuses to be another notch on Killian's headboard and Killian takes it as a challenge. This book dives deeper into what we thought we knew about Killian and I am here for it.

Here is what I liked:
1. The characters. Amo has a way of connecting the reader to the characters. You feel all the angst, the lust, the drama. Oh, it's soo good.
2. The Plot/Storyline. We learn more and more about Patience. I love how even though this is a character series, the plot is more in-depth in each book. I can't wait to find out more about their arch-nemesis.
3. OMG the EKC made a bigger appearance. EEKK!!! Total Fangirling!

Overall, I am soo mad that I didn't read this sooner. On the other hand, I am so glad I read it now, because I was missing the EKC world and I am soo excited that I don't have to wait long for the 4th book.

Rating: 4.75/5
Spice: 3.5/5
Trope: dark romance, some bondage - check TW/CW prior to reading

I wanted Killian’s book immediately after I finished King’s. I loved him in the first book. I was blown away Saskia. I love that these books are so detailed. You can imagine every place. From the plantations to the tents, you can see it happening. I love that these boys go down hard for their ladies. So far our ladies have been perfectly matched.

I love that Saskia sees him. “His eyes sparkle in mischief. That’s Killian. Mischief. Only his mischief is a ploy to distract you, because below that surface lies fury.”

I loved that Killian sees her. “Your eyes tell the explicit story that your soul tries to hide.”

This series is truly amazing. The writing all the back stories to the characters is truly inspired. The back stories to all the characters, and the manipulation of it all was mind bending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ IFLM was everything and more. I never wanted Killian & Saskia’s story to end. Usually one of the hero’s stands out for me but these two.. both of them were equally as strong.

I don't know how Amo Jones does it but she has made me love the Midnight Mayhem world even more than I already did! Her books have the perfect amount of dark and twisty, angst filled moments set within a mind bending plot that takes you all over the world. The characters with in this Midnight Mayhem world are not your normal heroes, they are the broken and the villains yet by the end of her stories they are less broken and not so evil after all.

Killian and Sass have some amazing chemistry, they truly are the perfect match for each other. They have some of the steamiest scenes yet and arguably some of the most tender ones too. They both have their own reasons to be broken but they both have the ability to heal the other. Sass has an extremely dark past, parts so dark they are even hidden from herself and would most likely break a person beyond repair. Sass is not only able to overcome her past but find ways to thrive, which makes her such an inspiring character. Killian will suck you in, make you fall for him and then continue to alternate between sweet and cruel, making sure you never know where you stand with him. Watching him change, evolve and grow as a character over the course of the story was super entertaining. His internal conflict over some of the events and things he learns about Sass really made me love his character.

As always the other Midnight Mayhem characters are perfection! I also loved that we got a small cameo scene in here of some of my favorite Amo Jones characters! The ending of this book sets up book 3 perfectly and I can't wait to devour it when it comes out.

I highly recommend this book!!!

What a ride!
Admittedly i wasn't overly enthusiastic to read this one since i had forgot majority of what happened in book one since i read it days after having my first baby but then i started reading and i forgot how much of an effect Killian and the other guys have of the female population.
By no means is this a easy read, you better buckle up and enjoy the ride because this sucker doesn't let you go until the book is finished.
Killian, gah was he a a'hole.
I bloody loved him though, he's like one of those ones that make your underwear disintegrate and want to punch him in the face all at the same time.
Sass, doesn't she live up to her name. She was beautiful, i loved reading about her.
Seriously i absolutely loved these two they was scorching hot and like a live grenade ready to blow any second.
Live on the wild side.
Pick up this book.
