I don’t love 100% of Brene Brown’s ideas and frames of the world, but I do really appreciate her ability to describe the human experience in a systematic way. She’s able to draw parallels between stories that you would otherwise miss because they’re steeped in huge and challenging emotions. Pretty cool stuff.

I find something lovely about Brene Brown's audio-books - the chance to listen to her voice, which is very comforting and also hear her laugh while telling a story. As much as I like printed books, there is value in listening to a book too, especially one that discusses the human connection.
Rising strong, as well as "The power of vulnerability" are great for anyone who is interested in the beauty and imperfection, the joy and pain of being human.

This is fantastic. I love everything Brené writes. So many important things to consider and helpful suggestions for getting through tough things.

I loved this book. It’s really changed the way I speak to my spouse and the way I identify what I’m feeling. I had never thought about vulnerability this way, and it was so interesting to learn about.

Daring Greatly was the first book I read by Brown.

The others all seem to have similar ideas and conclusions. She definitely has a theme.

This one is good because she talks about some of her personal struggles, which portrays the practicality of her methods.

Nothing new here if you’ve read some of her other books…but still very good and worth reading.

Just couldn't get into this book. Pushed myself to finish about 30% as it's next meeting's reading for my book club, but I was just bored to tears and wasn't getting anything out of it except don't run away from your feelings. Obviously, this book was helpful for some people. I just wasn't connecting with it.

I really enjoyed this book, my second to read from Brené Brown. I found this to be extremely helpful and I've already utilized several of her tips in my everyday life (especially the framing method with "The story I'm creating is..."). This is a book on how to get back up and work on living wholeheartedly after a hardship. What I enjoyed the most about this book is that the author includes so many real examples, several from her own life, that it felt personal and relatable- almost like going to a therapist. I really found this to be a very helpful and moving read and can't wait to work on living a more full and wholehearted life moving forward.
