this shit is dark.

keiran is a villain and a bully and the way he treats lake in the beginning of the book is bad but it's a enemies to lovers, don't expect anything less.

keiran is dark and brooding and very controlling, and he almost comes off as a psychopath but once his story is told, you get to understand why. lake, this girl is strong despite what he puts her through and you get to see her stand up against him as the book goes on. their chemistry, although dark, was hot.

willow and dash stole the show for me though. every moment of theirs, i was eating it up. dash can disrespectfully rail me.

I had to DNF this book. I wanted to love it I had heard a lot about how amazing it was. This was the first by this author for me too. It was well written so that's where the two stars come in for me. I had to stop around chapter 7 or a little after. I just couldn't take any more I knew I was eventually going to throw up. I am all for the cocky male characters the "bad guys" but no. Absolutely not. How in the world could anybody be ok with this story line? Granted if I had finished the book MAYBE ....read as probably not... I would have changed my mind. A male character that torments a girl character from childhood all the way up until present day where they are seniors in high school. To the point of her hiding in her house to avoid any accidental contact with him. He literally threatens her life and that of her aunt and her only friend. He pins her against walls and forces himself on her and talks dirty to her and she LIKES IT? What?! Wait a minute what did I miss? You're so afraid of this boy that you literally shake when he's around and pass out at the mention of his name and then he rips your pants off and...well I'm not saying...and you LIKE IT? What because he's cute? NO WAY this is one of the most abusive characters I've come across in a while. I just can't stand to read one more minute of it. This boy is not attractive AT ALL. I'm sorry this says nothing about the author I really do think she is talented but I can't get with this story line. I'm done. I can't. Perhaps I will try something different by this author.

🌶️🌶️🌶️
Not a fake bully. Super mean. Very forgiving girl, (too”don’t hurt them”)👎 but it was good! For once the reason the guy is mean is a real reason that screwed him up. Not divorce or just depression etc. I will read on in the series!

HEA: series tbc (Cliffhanger)

“I’m a hopeless fuck who is obsessed with a girl he still wants to hurt.”

The only slight issue I had with Fear Me was that Keiran seemed to act much older than an 18/19 year old would have and he seemed to have more life experience than anyone could get by that age. That being said, for me, it definitely didn't detract from my love for him or the book, it just surprised me when I’d remember his age.

“There’s no need to be a prude about it. Everyone has orgasms and the ones who don’t…God bless their souls.”

The main thing about this one that I loved was that Keiran definitely hated Lake, he wasn't just being mean because he had a thing for her, he genuinely hated her. She knew this and she hated him too but Lake struggled to accept that she was attracted to him at the same time, whereas Keiran was more than happy to fuck her and hate her at the same time. He did show that he cared at times but was so unapologetic in his brutality and hatred that he wouldn't acknowledge it. Gotta love a tortured hero <3

I'll write a proper review for the two books together when I've found out how the rest of their story goes.

“Tell me, what are your intentions with my granddaughter. She’s never had a boyfriend, you know.
Yes, ma’am. I am aware.
And did you have anything to do with that?
The corner of his mouth lifted in a half grin. I might have.
Why?
Because she’s mine.”
