This couple was not as real as others in the series, Alexander seemed remote and without nuance

The story was so long by half way. No spice, the tension couldn't last over the millennia of the story. The plot was hard to connect with. The beloved characters of the other books weren't well featured.

I am a big fan of the Guild Hunter World, but this installment was a miss. It covered such a long time span, and I felt little investment in Zanaya and Alexander's story. Hopefully, the next installment is better.

Loved the story. I liked reading about the beginning of Alexander an Zanaya's story and a little bit about Raphael childhood. Maybe we could read in the future books about another child of two archangels

I enjoyed Archangel’s Resurrection, but it’s not a favorite from the series. I was actually hoping to see a deeper romance blossom between the couple featured. I saw Zanaya and Alexander struggle and fail at a healthy love for eons. Always choosing themselves as individuals over their relationship. I didn’t get to see them compromise and work things out enough for my tastes. They basically were just like “this time will be different. We made two compromises!” End of story. While I did enjoy Zanaya and Alexander there was a small part of me that felt like if they couldn’t work it out over literal centuries, how would they do so now? And idk why but Zanaya always calling Alexander “lover” really started to annoy me. I get it. He’s your lover. I don’t need to be told that every freaking paragraph. I don’t want to end my review on a negative note because like I said, I did enjoy this book.

Thank you to Edelweiss for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Well, I just coudn't understand their relationship, I had barely read 1/3 of the book and I was already wishing they'd realize they weren't for each other and find better partners. It's the first time something like this has happened to me. I hope we go back to Elena and Raphael's story in the next book.
