The one thing that held me back was the prose. I’m sure many consider it elegant and artful, but Wilde’s writing style, with its flowery words and long-winded sentences, was too ornate for me. I also never cared much for the dialogue. I know people find Henry Wotton clever, but he was just a contrarian who never lived up to his ideals. Nevertheless I’m glad I pushed through, because the plot was fascinating enough. Dorian Gray’s plunge towards hedonism and moral degredation was interesting despite lacking depth.

I hate how long this took me to finish since i’m horrible with audiobooks. I did enjoy it, and it was very interesting to listen to.

I liked the plot of this, but it was incredibly slow. I enjoyed the writing style the most - very artistic, although there were some parts that were too drawn out. The end was satisfying. Overall, an interesting plot, just slow.

Realmente creo que nunca voy a poder superar este libro, con todos los dramas, amoríos, argumentos filosóficos y su pizca de misterio.
Es tan romanticista, que ni yo en mis peores momentos.
