I'm writing this review from my smartphone, so it won't be as long or thought-out as it deserves. But I just can't wait for the computer.
This book is an excellent follow-up to Lucky Man. As a former caregiver of a PD patient (I lost my dad to the disease in 2012), I have to say this book is such an inspiration. If I'd only read it sooner! Truly, my dad professed much more quickly than MJF, but it offers hope in the event my brother or I am later diagnosed.
I told a friend that this horrible disease couldn't have happened to a nicer guy than Michael J Fox, but this is the kind of advocate the community needs! I am so grateful for all he has contributed.
This book is a little bit medical, a little more political & some great family stories. His parental advice near the end is priceless. I love how he describes his kids. He's an amazing father! He's also a great writer. His stories flow well. The book is presented in chewable bites, and he flexes my vocabulary.

This is a really good book. I've always liked Michael J. Fox but after reading this book I like him even more now. Inspirational and optimistic are good words to describe him and his writing.

I have always enjoyed Michael J Fox and his outlook on the world. I picked up this memoir a while ago and was glad to finally get to it. As expected it was full of lovely stories, optimism, and his view of the world before and during his diagnosis.

Funny, inspiring, a peek into his personal, professional, political and family life after his diagnosis.

Four sections: work, politics, faith, and family. He strikes me as an excellent father and husband, but he's more politician than actor. The politics part was semi-boring. The faith part was tepid because he's so objective and equitable-minded (or purposely tried to come across this way) that the result was dispassionate. 2.5 stars
