As a background, I’m a big fan of weird crap, though I’m not as much interested in cryptids as people who are convinced that they exist.

Bigfoot? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Bigfoot Culture? YES. Show me those people out in the woods looking for scientific evidence of Bigfoot who find nothing and then decide it’s because Bigfoot is an alien/ghost/time traveler.

With that in mind, I spent the majority of this book being amused and thinking “they think they saw whaaaaat” and “oh come ON,” but the epilogue convinced me to at least visit a cryptid museum should I ever come across it. As someone who grew up in a town that glorifies a groundhog, I have no room to judge. (But I still do and think that’s weird, too.)

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. I really enjoyed the stories in this book. If you like cryptid tales then this is a great book for you.

As someone who grew up watching shows about ghosts, creatures, and aliens, this was a fun book. This reminded me so much of the shows I grew up on. Very fun.
