Awesome
This is a great series so far, and after reading book 2 - I’ve gone ahead and bought books 3&4, as I know this is one collection in going to want to finish.

3.5 for the pure stupidity of characters not getting to Kennedy and co when they had the chance.......
Still Eli and Em finally...... but its not very explicit so fine for younger readers....
Loved the unseelie fae.... brilliant again

I was a little worried at the beginning of this book, but I shouldn't have been. Once the story takes off, it's full speed ahead. My favorite things about this book were all of the new characters introduced and of course, Ember and Eli. Fire in the Darkness was considerably better than the first book in the series. I can't wait to find out what happens in the third book!

It was good.
A little bit longer than the first book, but still that same fast paced reading that sucks you in. Hold you to it

Love Eli and Ember, I'm not comparing this story line to Savage Lands anymore. They now each feel like it's own seperate baby....if that makes sense? I'm excited to get more back story for this world building....even though I do kinda know the outcome, I don't know how me get there.
I will say that I'm not a fan of the 'love' triangle. Not a big fan of Torin. And anytime they have interactions I feel like it's forced itimacy. Rubs me wrong. It doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of love triangle tropes...but I guess that will be a themed in these series' BUt other love triangles have been hard to tell who will be chosen, this was always NO question. ELi always, the will they or won't they is a forgone conclusion....honestly since the instant they were in the same room. When we were introduced to Torin, I was like 'who's this guy'? oh he's just extra for jealousy, tension and the feral she's mine trope. ;-)
