This book had such potential. The first half was great- the second half was thrown as quickly as possible on the page

It started out cute but then just got very silly. Still, a fun, quick read.

I reviewed this through #NetGalley.
This is a charming and well written historical romance. It follows the story of a matchmaking mama, her daughter’s attempt to escape her plans, and a helpful Duke. The storyline was unique, if the characters and such were not particularly exciting.
My only complaint is that we didn’t get to know the heroine’s female friends well enough to Particularly anticipate the next book in the series. However this one was well written enough that I will still read the next book. Overall a nice book, good characters, and the sweet ending.
