The magical world of J. K. Rowling has always felt like home but the first prequel(?) was somewhat lacking of that home-factor although it was amazing. Now I love this installation better than the first one because it reflects more with the original HP series that I've loved.
All in all, it was a thrill reading this. Can't wait for it to show in my country.

Maratón Harry Potter #2: Los Crímenes de Grindelwald

Solo puedo decir que me ha gustado mucho más que el primero. Los dos me gustan, evidentemente, pero los Crímenes de Grindelwald me ha gustado mucho más.
Animales fantásticos me gustó por el tema de las criaturas mágicas y del mundo que nos presenta, pero los Crímenes de Grindelwald es aún mejor. Me parece que tiene más "chicha" y un contenido mejor. Se tratan temas que para mí son muy interesantes y podemos ver una amplia evolución (ya sea para bien o para mal) de los personajes que se nos han planteado en el primer libro. Ya se asoman además las tramas que son importantes de la saga y todo va cogiendo forma.
He de admitir que cuando vi la película (y eso que lo hice dos veces) en un principio la película no me convenció del todo, pero ahora que he leído el guión lo he visto con otro enfoque y me ha encantado; al igual que en el primer libro, leer los Crímenes de Grindelwald ha hecho que mi hype por Harry Potter se dispare por las nubes. Harry Potter es una saga muy, muy especial para mi y no sabéis lo emocionada e ilusionada que estoy por poder leerla otra vez.
Me ha gustado ver la evolución de los personajes y encontrarme con nuevos. Me ha gustado mucho los personajes de Leta y Theseus. Al igual que me ha encantado ver la trama que tienen con Newt. Tengo un montón de teorías sobre ello y estoy deseando poder compartirlas.
Lo que más me ha gustado del libro es la historia de Dumbledore y Grindelwald. Me parece una historia demasiado buena. Desde que se mencionó por primera vez en Harry Potter tuve mucha curiosidad y porfin en esta nueva saga te lo están mostrando. La historia de ellos dos también te da para fabricar otra docena de teorías, pero ya os hablaré de ellas con más calma.
Y lo que es la trama también me parece muy buena porque ya te va encaminando a lo que va a pasar en el futuro.
Tengo que decir que como villano Grindelwald no decepciona. Me gusta bastante, además es el tipo de villano que me gusta: astuto y muy elegante.
Hace tiempo me preguntaron si me gustaba más Voldemort o Grindelwald; es una pregunta bastante compleja, y me temo que hasta que no finalice esta nueva saga no voy a poder responder a eso. Tengo que comprar bien a estos dos villanos y no tengo de momento suficientes datos para hacerlo. ¡Pero lo pienso hacer en futuro!
Y sobre las parejas, ay...¿Que os voy a contar? Newt y Tina son demasiado adorables, cada día me gustan más; Queenie y Jacob también me gustan mucho.
En conclusión el libro me ha gustado. Está vez hasta me ha gustado leerlo en forma de guión porque ha habido alginos pasajes donde se podía ver qué clase de sentimientos tenían algunos personajes y me ha servido para entenderlos mejor.
Así que tengo poco más que añadir. Que me ha gustado mucho y que me ha dejado con muchas ganas de más.
Pero no me va a quedar más remedio que esperar, trataré de ser fuerte.
¡En fin! No tengo más que añadir. Nos veremos pronto.

I've enjoyed this one as a screenplay format. The first book is still my favourite.
I like the characters (Newt, Jacob, Tina, Credence & Queenie) but unfortunately there wasn't enough "fantastic beasts" in this story, which is why I gave it 3 stars. The same goes for the film - also 3 stars. I remember enjoying the scenes with the Zouwu the best. Maybe in the third screenplay we get to see more Fanastic Beasts.

It is perhaps strange that this was my introduction to the writing of J.K. Rowling and her 'Wizarding World'. This is a nicely designed and illustrated hardcover book containing the screenplay for the film "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald". I found it an enjoyable and simple story. The story of conflict between two factions of wizards led by Dumbledore and Grindewald with differing philosophies on the role of wizards and muggles in the world are their relationship felt quite similar to Marvel's X-Men, which I have heard is based on the relationship between Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X. So, this story did not feel particularly original, yet I still enjoyed it. It was possible to immerse myself in the narrative; however, I would have preferred to watch the film that brings this script to life.

I was excited for this sequel and I have been anticipating the movie for what feels like forever. And it is now been out for a couple of weeks, and I've still not seen it. But I have read this screenplay and I really enjoyed it. I loved reading about Newt again and I hadn't realized how much I missed him. However, it seemed like there wasn't that much dialogue in this sequel compared to the first one. There were a lot more scenes with action and not a whole lot of talking.
I'm really interested in learning more about Grindelwald's character. He's kind of mysterious to me. I was late getting into the Harry Potter world so I'm not totally familiar with him and I'm interested in learning more about his past with Dumbledore. Also, the ending in this sequel totally blew me away. I closed the book and just sat there for 10 minutes thinking about it and how the next story might play out.
If you enjoyed the first screenplay, I think you would enjoy this one as well. Just go into it knowing there's not a ton of dialogue with the characters.
