This was a particularly good installment in this series. I liked the mystery and thought that the reveal was handled really well. The characters, including a new one, are great as always. There was also a little
Harbinder Kaur series
Easter egg that I enjoyed.

I am such a fan of this series! I’ve come to care so much for Ruth, Nelson, Kate, Cathbad, and the rest of the rich characters that I find myself having mixed emotions about reading the next installment, as that will bring me closer to the “end”… “The Chalk Pit” is an extremely well-crafted mystery, with clues expertly placed along the way. Another excellent entry from Elly Griffith!
