This is the final volume of the Rayne tour, and while I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first two, I really appreciated the overall hopeful message.

I thought the chapters following Shaley were the best and she was really resourceful in how she dealt with the kidnapping. I didn’t like the sections following Shaley’s best friend added much to the plot. She really doesn’t do much in the series as a whole.

It reminded me a bit of an episode of Criminal Minds with the swat team and FBI searching for Shaley.

Final Touch by Brandilyn & Amberly Collins is the final book in the Rayne Tour series. Shaley O'Conner is on the brink of having all her dreams come true. Her parents are finally going to be married after years of forced separation. Moments before the wedding, Shaley is kidnapped by a strange man insisting that she will become his wife and form a new colony of Christians in a remote area, far away from the terribly influence of rock music, like what her mother Rayne, sings. Her parents are forced to play a waiting game, following the advice of the FBI and making television appearances in hopes of someone finding their daughter, while Shaley travels from state to state with a madman who thinks he is doing the will of God. Shaley is a bright, strong heroine in the previous books, and she only gets better here. Her attempts to leave behind evidence to leave a trail for her rescuers to follow as well as working to earn her kidnapper's trust makes for incredible tension. Rayne and the rest of the crew from the previous novels are mostly bystanders, as this novel is all about Shaley trusting in God to carry her through. I didn't feel it was as strong as the first two in the series, but it's a quick read with plenty of suspense and faith.

It’s a dream come true for Shaley, who has always longed for the father she never knew. But minutes before the wedding, Shaley is kidnapped.
Who is this man who has taken her—and why?
As Rayne and Gary race against time to find their daughter, Shaley’s abductor eludes the FBI at every turn. Fearing for her life, Shaley wills herself to stay strong. But as the days pass, she realizes that no one can save her but herself.”

Pre Teens- One Star
New Teens- One Star
Early High School Teens- Two Stars
Older High School Teens- Three Stars
My personal Rating- Three Stars
Well, that was intense! My heart was racing from the beginning to the end. I honestly wish there had been a fourth book in this series about Shaley’s life after all of this. Hopefully not suspenseful, though. Just a calm life for the poor girl! I am glad that in this final book there wasn’t a lot of sexual content or mentions…that stalker was wacko enough! Definitely not a series for everybody.

This series is so awesome. Each time I read one I don't stop until I've finished it. They are that good.
