Kade’s game was from his point of view and I like that now I can understand his actions better. But, somehow it was annoying that I had to read the same thing over again. The same dialogue and the same scenes. Overall I liked it because I needed to understand Kade better and the book served its purpose. Only ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars because of the repetition.

I didn't enjoy this one as much, but I think that's because it was almost exactly the same, word for word, story as the first.

I loved Kade's POV, I'm always a little concerned when female authors write a second book from male POV that i adored from the heroines perspective, most time's the Author manages to emasculate him, not in C.M Owens case i think i just fell in love with him a bit more.

The book had me laughing out lout especially when Kade was sat waiting for Raya while she tried on clothes and his reactions to ladies adverts as he was flicking through the mandatory waiting area magazines.

also loved

"And why does the house smell of fish all the time? What's that girl doing?"

But it goes without saying just how much i loved this read, i always look forward to Owens books as i haven't been disappointed yet, she's my go to Author when i want to get immersed for a few days in a good box set.

3 stars; nice addition to series!

This book is Kade's story. It's a nice addition to the first book, Hooked On the Game. I'm not a big fan of a book from the hero's POV AFTER the first book. I find it annoying when I have to reread the same things again. However, there was enough new stuff to keep me interested.

You get an insight on who Kade is, what makes him tick, and what he was thinking. I think reading this book made me like him more if that's possible. I did skim passages that were in the first book so this ended up being a quick read for me.

Loved this start of the series!

Kades game

Well I guess I didn’t write reviews often when I first started reading because I’ve read this book a ton of times. I loved that C.M. decided to rewrite the story from kades POV. It definitely added a lot to the story and I personally read kades game and HOTG at the same time to get the full effect.

I have a high standard for re-telling of stories from another POV. I’ve read others whereby as well as gaining the other POV, it reads as a completely different book (Hopeless, Colleen Hoover). This unfortunately didn’t meet this mark. It felt like a copy and paste of the original book and you can guess everything that Kade was thinking. It added nothing extra. If anything it makes you dislike Kade a bit for being such an idiot.

Read 4 very short novella's in just 2 nights (none of which inspired in me the need to write, either for, or against).
Have to catch up on reviews.
