I absolutely love this duo of writers. I enjoy their solo work as well and I find their writing together to be magic. This story is beautiful. It is creative and captivating. It is definitely emotional at times, but also heartwarming and stole my heart. I smiled and swooned at the journey of these characters and I stayed with them from page one and did not put this book down until it was finished. I am so in love with these characters and this story and I can't wait for more from these authors. I definitely look forward to seeing what they have in store for us next.

One of my 2020 favorites

I loved everything about this story. I loved Sadie and Sebastian but a little girl named Birdie made this story even more special. I laughed at her honesty and fell in love with her intentions. This was truly a beautiful story that was filled with a lot of love, humor, and a great hidden message.

I haven't read a single dad romance book in a while, i guess. I vaguely remember a book with the same trope that I read over 10 years ago.
The beginning was sweet. But then came the boredom and the weirdness. The way their relationship started was a little bit too stalkish for me. And I wanted to dnf the book quite a few times, mostly because nothing interesting really happened.
Now, what saved this book and took it on the right path was that the romantic relationship between the main characters was really healthy. It began knowing the truth (God bless their soul because I could have not bare the lie later in the book and the common breakup trope and basically what I expected and never happened. Thankfully). And finally l, a mature couple that knew how to communicate. Where was that girl at the beginning of the book we don't know, we don't ask. I guess it needed a dose of craziness to be able to reach a point of meeting and talking.
Overall, a good book if you have patience. I think the readers with the urge to dnf at 20% should wait just a little bit more to give the book a fair chance.

I am going to scream for about 8 years about this book. Shout out to my best friend's mom who gave this to me. I read it in a day I couldn't put it down.

I love books by this duo and this was no exception. I really love the emotional twists they pack into their stories. I was close to shouting at the end of this one because I wasn't sure I was going to get the answers I needed but I really loved this story about finding love again after tragedy. It reminded me a little of Sleepless in Seattle and that was heartwarming.
