Pesh and Megan were awesome! I loved how they danced around each other - each thinking they didn't have what it took to be there for the other. Because when the dance stopped, it was not only hot, it was also very tender and loving.

Katie Ashley has done it again! The Pairing was sexy, sweet, and holds a special spot in my heart for all that is Pesh Nadeen!!!

When we first met Pesh in The Proposal, he was still mending his heart after his wife’s death a couple years prior. Everyone that knows and loves him is pushing for him to find love again. But he finds himself hesitant, especially after what happened between him and Emma when they both had tried to find the person they really wanted, in each other.

“He’d vowed after that mistake he wasn’t going to let anyone dictate when it was time for him to move on from Jade’s memory. If he was to love or marry again, he would be the one to take the steps.”

When Pesh is asked to be Godfather to Emma and Aidan’s son, Noah, he certainly isn’t expecting to meet anyone. But fate, and a few members of the Fitzgerald clan think Aidan’s niece and Noah’s Godmother, Megan, feel otherwise and Pesh finds himself entertaining the idea of woo-ing the sassy, smart and single mother.

Megan is not looking for a relationship. Not only is she a single mom, but she is in school to be a nurse and she has let her previous relationships dictate who she was. Megan just wants to have some fun. When she meets the sexy Dr. Pesh Nadeen, the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts. But Pesh doesn’t believe in slam-bam-thank-you-mam’s. He is a TRUE gentleman. Well, he is until Megan forces his hand…

“So fucking isn’t me? Don’t tell me you think I’m totally asexual-that you can’t imagine me fucking a woman…fucking you.”

The chemistry between Pesh and Megan is off the charts. But what I loved most about The Pairing was how emotionally connected I felt to this story. Pesh and Megan pulled at my heartstrings. There is a moment about 84% in that had me in tears. I rarely, if ever, fall for the good guy, but Pesh <3 He is so different from other men in books these days, and it is refreshing.

If you are looking for a sweet, sexy and fun read make sure you check out The Pairing!

The first 50%, I like it because Pesh is so perfect. There is no fault on this man. Nothing! If only he is real. And not a fiction character in a fiction world. So I am so expecting how the story developed into the next 50%. The the last 50% is really going downhill. The story seems stop developing. Instead of throwing in a layer/ plot into the story, it pilled up with un necessary detail.

Like the second characters that also have nothing to do with the story development. Then still pilling it up with so many things such as engagement party, family jewels, the noisy family, the birth of Caroline etc. So many that I can not remember everything.

Overall I reward this book 3 stars due to Pesh. He is the only thing that is perfect. Other than that, I find it boring.

This book started off really good but once it hit the midway point it just spiralled down. I loved the characters which is why it gets a 3 star. I also loved how Aidan and Emma were very much present in this one as they were the ones who introduced the characters to each other. I didn't like how fast the rest of the book progressed. Once they realized they loved each other it just jumped ahead so many months ahead each following chapter...I didn't even get to experience the wedding and their was no conflict AT ALL. I really thought Davis would have come back to stir up the pot but no dice..he was not even talked about only at the beginning. and touched upon at the end. I really feel like Ms. Ashely just hashed this one out and just wanted it written as quickly as she could. I really am disappointed since I love Katie Ashley's books and I loved Pesh. I still love him but I would have wanted a story worth remembering.

What if I told you that I didn't read the first books in this series? Suppose I liked the synopsis so much when I saw the blog tour invite that I signed up so quickly I didn't even know it was part of a series. Yep that's me!!
While I feel like I might have enjoyed this more if I had read the previous books I can say that, regardless, I did like Pesh and Megan's story.
I love that they balanced each other out, I feel like it helped ground them more. I loved the seriousness of Pesh and how his passion for Megan took over and he became the guy who talked about fucking. I think dirty talk can be better when it's unexpected and not overused.
I liked how the characters from the previous books were incorporated into the story and it definitely made me want to go back and read them.
This was a sweet yet steamy read with little to no angst and an HEA. I will be reading more from this author soon, starting with The Proposition and The Proposal.

*I received an ARC from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review
