he is definitely not chase carter--just for the record. and the "lie" from her was my least favorite trope-right up there with second chance romance. which is also in this book. but at least i feel like it wasn't really their fault for the second chance, besides the lie obviously. but like, that was just bad luck after bad luck (me2)
and she is living my dream. minus the one year between alaska and chicago. but like post chicago? the dream. slay
"i love you too. now let's do some shots." go off slay

I’m just gonna start by saying that I didn’t like Pucked AT ALL. and probably that’s the reason why i kept putting off reading this book. But oh boy am I surprised, this was just SO GOOD!!
I’m not really a fan of second chances, but this was a case of second chance x surprise pregnancy, and somehow that worked for me. I loved how they met and Rj was instantly so protective of Lainey, and how Lainey represented a girl from a small town but was still such an independent person. Kody was a pleasant surprise and I loved how Rj was instantly captivated by him. The whole Walter and Lainey’s mom drama was uncalled for but it’s fine, cause that showed Lainey’s character development.
Honestly, I think if you read the Pucked series, you’d like the book much more, because of how many times the authors brings up the characters from it and you get to see their future. That part I didn’t connect with cause obviously I knew no one. But still this was a pleasant read.

This was such a fun and easy read! I loved seeing the characters fall in love in a not so normal situation & seeing Laney come out of her shell! The ending felt like a lot was being jam packed and rushed but I love a good Hockey romance.

Helena Hunting + hockey never misses! This book was sweet & spicy. It was such a happy surprise to learn it includes some of the Pucked characters. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were great.
