Two sisters raised in completely different environments have to navigate the loss of their father.

This was so beautifully written, I’m not a big fan of poetry but this was so well done, I have no choice but to stan.

Both Camino and Yahaira are so relatable and you can really understand where both girls are coming from.

This was honestly really sad and I hate their dad for what he did but I’m glad they were able to come together and overcome their struggles.m and differences.

Not a lot of books can make me cry but this one succeeded and I can appreciate a book that has the ability to make me shed tears.

If this is on your shelf please pick it up, it is written in free verse and so it was a very quick and emotional read.

It was a moving story that left me wanting more at the end which I think made me feel like it was missing something. However, I loved the free verse format of this book. It’s amazing how the author can write with such strength and passion but use far less words than the average book.

I don't read poetry or books in verse very often, but this was such a pleasant surprise. The language is so pretty and a welcome change from all of the other stuff I have been reading recently.

Well Written

I was not sure how I would feel about this book at first, with all the hype I heard about it, but I was pleasantly surprised. The story is written in poetry that touched my heart. In some parts I wished the story would have more to it, but enjoyed the story being told.
