I tried so hard to love this book, but when you're counting down the minutes and pages you have left in a book, you know it's not for you.
Tried finishing it listening to the audiobook, that only made it worse.

Note to self: don't read the rest of the series, it's not for you. No triggers, just the writing style.
And age. My god, make the characters a little older? Because i feel like a perv (not in a good way) when i read these kinds of books where the MC's are barely legal.

Amazing

Story and her mother move in with Killian and his dad and things are not all Sunshine and rainbows. When Killian, Tristian, and Rath take a night too far Story runs and doesn't return for 3 years. Now she is back and asking to be their Lady. This book is dark and twisty and has secrets unfolding at every turn. And the cliffhanger omg I need to read the next book now!

Bully trope done well

This story takes the bully trope to the next level.

Three years ago, Story experienced how little say she had when it came to Killian, Tristian, and Rath. After having nowhere to turn, she gives herself to this trio, to do with as they want, for 12 months. She might think she knows what she's getting herself into, but experiencing it is altogether different

A true dark book to check TW/CW.

Book 1 in the trilogy sets up the Lords' world and Story's place in it. It's difficult not to really dislike the trio so far.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good audio.

Dark and gritty

Lords of Pain did not disappoint on the dark and gritty story it promised. It was dark and twisted but it drew me in, and exceeded expectations!

It’s well written, with a good plot and underlying intrigue and a bit of mystery. Story, the MFC, is a bit naive but it suited her character. The lords though, whew! Talk about some steam!

This definitely a top tier bully romance and I mean heavy bully so if that isn’t your thing I would definitely not read this book as the characters aren’t even morally grey they are honestly just the worst lol
