Cell by Stephen King

This in time will become a classic King novel, and is socially appropriate. Those affected are so because of the use of their mobile phones, hence the title. It's a good story, with characters that you care about. My only criticism is the ending, as usual, King doesn't wrap up all the loose ends, leaving things open for the reader to make their own minds up. After spending such a long time invested in a novel, I would like it to all be resolved.

An interesting take on the zombie genre, the book seems to lose steam halfway, though King's ideas on how the zombies are created are certainly unique. Not vintage King, but a must-read for zombie freaks.

Book Club book; Grand post-apocalyptic fantasy with all the Stephen Kong tropes you know and may or may not love. Station Eleven by Emily Mandel and Nod by Adrian Barnes yelp similar, better stories.

Cellphones, the 'normal' form of communication of our race, just behind talking. In this horrendous tale from the hands of The Classic King, Stephen King, we are faced by pure decadence, at its core. Something happened, okay? Something bad, and wrong, maybe fixable but not easily, certainly end-of-the-world, not quite happening.

The book deals with an apocalypse. But it is way ahead in the line of major apocalypse sellers. What attracts us to the book instantly is its narration. Unlike other inquisitive narrations, King piques your interest with much skill and experience.

Such that you picture the scenes in front of your eyes (WARNING: Weak hearts better sit this one out!). The potent mixture of humour enveloped with horror, which doesn't quite scratch the definition of dark comedy, is laid out superbly.

You begin falling in love with the characters, are afraid of their struggles and yet you would not want to be in their places. Maybe the situation with every book..but of course... Like any other book, this book is not like any other book. So, you MUST read it to know how its different!

Kudos to King!
