Final Thoughts:

I totally loved this book. I think what made me read it a second time a week later, it that there’s a serious plot that has nothing to do with their relationship, but creates a heightened situation that is the spark to their powder keg. So many romance novels revolve around typically “feminine” situations. They have emotional stakes, not life stakes. This story is dramatic and has big world consequences. Fighting bad guys. Evil plots. Murder. They are both put to the test in their professional roles and it creates a strong mutual respect for the other. That opens the space for their romantic relationship to grow. It’s great to see a relationship develop from a place of professional competence. I think what made this books so exciting for me to re-read, was the time I ghot to spend in their brains., There’s a lot of dirty talk in the scenes between them, and a lot more happening between thair own ears. It made all the scenes around the sex so enjoyable.

Tabby and Connor are amazing especially their bantering but I didn't care about plot at all.

✩ 4.5 stars.

’Then it’s more urgent, a rising demand, a jolt of pleasure when she nips my lower lip, my hands tightening around her jaw, her hands fisted in my hair, urgently pulling me closer, deeper, my mind fried as my body throbs and pulses, every beat of my heart a roar in my ears, my blood pounding like drums, wanting wanting wanting.
She yanks away and slaps me. Hard. We stare at each other. She’s standing up, I’m sitting down, we’re both panting. Her face is bright red.’

i mean i knew going in i would enjoy this book because of tabby alone but i didn’t expect to love it that much? from the tension to the great chemistry both her and connor have to how badass she was and so coldhearted that she made connor chase her half the book - as he should, she more than deserves that. tabitha’s backstory? i’m obsessed, i honestly never read a heroine’s past that intrigued to that extent.

i was going to give the book 3.5 tho because i felt the story was being dragged but then i hit the 70% mark and the story got ten times better and action-packed. that last thirty percent has put me in such a high that i wished the book was longer? i took a 180 in this situation. now i have two favorite books by this author, finally!!!

4/18/2019 - I just realized I never got around to the review. This a super creative romantic-suspense/action story. It has a to-die-for alpha hero. The heroine is a kick-a hacker with mad Krav Maga skills and LOL Hello Kitty obsession. The villain is super evil and the action and steam are non-stop.

Their dynamic was hilarious and hot af. I’m obsessed with them. And the whole mystery of it all was very fun to unravel.
