Useful insofar as it provides clear explanations of really complex philosophical concepts in plain language, but otherwise felt somewhat incomplete as a book. Odd inconsistency of pacing and focus, as well as a lack of discussion of how other philosopher and philosophical schools saw the Vienna Circle (except for Karl Popper).

My first instinct is to book this book into conversation with When We Cease to Understand the World. One day I will. This is one of my favorite moments in history: interwar Vienna was a cauldron of progress and hatred, of science and anti-intellectualism, of art and imperialism. It was so interesting to see the Vienna Circle sketched out in such detail.
