An exciting tale full of harrowing adventures, dangerous people, and challenges around every bend! Revelations about Fable's past are gradually revealed as we follow her struggle to survive in an unforgiving place that she was accused of not being capable of living. The found family in this story is wonderful - I really enjoyed that aspect. The ending was a real shocker, and I'm glad the second book is already out, because whoa! That would have been some wait.

Beautiful writing. Beautiful imagery. Fantastic story. I was glad to see Fable’s character arc resulted in more than just a love story. She grew and learned and let go of so much. I’m looking forward to reading Namesake whilst drinking black tea!

This was fun and I will read the second. Pirates, mysteries, and sunken treasures...what’s not to love?

Enjoyable. A tad slow in places but I'll read the second one.

Why, oh why did I wait so long to experience the world of Fable? Epic, sweeping high seas adventure. Danger, intrigue, and passion around every corner. Vivid scenery described in detail with such skill.

Themes of loneliness, longing to be seen, and a search for belonging and family left me in tears. Surprising revelations had me wide eyed in disbelief. And the story glided along like the Marigold on a sea of glass.

I’m in love with the world Adrienne Young has crafted and I’m a fan for life. Thank goodness I did wait…the second book awaits me. Good thing, because that cliffhanger—**mind blown**
